In addition to this, it has run many online events on behalf of flagship bodies such as the UK's Institute of Translation and Interpreting, the American Translators Association, and the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators. eCPD Webinars has become the premier career development resource for translation and interpreting professionals. Over 2500 professionals from 50 different countries have attended one of our online events over the past 12 months alone. About eCPD's Directors Lucy Brooks FCIL, CL, MITI, DipLing Managing Director and founder of eCPD Ltd, is a linguist specialising in commercial and industrial translations from German, French and Spanish into English. She has well over 20 years of experience in translation and was one of the first translators in the world to attain Chartered Linguist (Translator) status.   3. 3. Maia Figueroa BA (Hons), MA, MA Customer Relations Director Maia is a published literary translator, working from English, Catalan and Spanish into Spanish. She has translated over 25 novels and non-fiction books from authors has well-known as Donna Leon, Matthew Quick or Jeff Vandermeer. She has an MA in English Translation and Localisation from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain, an MA in Scriptwriting from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a BA (Hons) in Media from the University of Leeds in the UK. She is a member of ACEtt, an association for literary translators in Spain, and Àptic, an association for translators and interpreters in Catalonia. Based in Barcelona, Spain, she joined eCPD Webinars in 2012.
