East and West Pond Stewardship Plan Purpose: preserve and protect the pond area by identifying strategies that: • Engage a diverse community of visitors and volunteers • Protect natural resources • Support continued public use and enjoyment • Manage a robust volunteer workforce • Provide education and interpretation opportunities
- 3. East and West Pond Stewardship Plan • Public scoping from April – June 2022, Virtual Open House on May 17, 2022 • 116 comments received • Comment summary report to be released • Comments received will inform plan development
- 4. East and West Pond Stewardship Plan • “Drop-in” public workshop on viewsheds and vegetation management on West Pond loop trail in early 2023 • More opportunities for engagement, including review of draft plan • Maintenance and repair work will continue as plan development progresses
