  2. 2. Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • Have you ever had a desire to get something in your life only to end up manifesting the opposite of what you want? Well, that has happened to me several times. And it can really be frustrating and annoying, if you know what I mean. So this kept going on for a long period and I was almost done with this whole manifesting thing. I kept wondering what I was doing wrong, until one day it clicked.
  3. 3. Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • I noticed when am talking about the things I don’t want, am really passionate about expressing my dislikes. But when am talking about things I want to manifest, well am happy and excited but not passionate. And I kept thinking about how to get rid of the things I don’t want, instead of focusing all my attention on what I really want, be enthusiastic and passionate about it.
  4. 4. Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • The end result of that was attracting the opposite, no matter how many affirmations I made. I knew I must be doing something wrong, if people say this affirmation thing works and I am in charge of my life, then I must be cause of everything happening in my life.

I focused my attention on what I wanted to manifest and started thinking about it passionately. Have you ever noticed that when we are thinking or having a mental conversation, it’s with a lot of passion then when you’re talking?

So instead of focusing on the problems and the things you don’t want in your life, try focusing on what you want to have in your life. Stop complaining, stop focusing so much on the problem and focus on the solution to the problem.

The first thing you should do is fix in your mind exactly what you desire. You should be definite, so that your mind is not confused. Once you definite about your desires, things will start moving in your favor to make it happen. And stay focused.
  8. 8. Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • Second is that, you must know what you’re going to give in return for the thing you desire. Most people make the mistake of thinking that things in life are free, but the truth is there’s no such thing as something for nothing. What are you going to give in return for your desires? Will it be your time, energy, persistence, taking massive action? What you’re willing to give determines how soon you will be able to manifest your desires.
  9. 9. Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • The third is to create a definite plan on how you’re going to bring your desires into reality and begin at once to take action. Don’t wait around for things to be perfect. Put your plan into action immediately.

Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • The fourth is you have to put everything in writing, be clear on what you want, name the time limit for achieving this desire, state what you intend to give in return for the manifestation of your desires and you must describe clearly the plan through which you intend to make it happen.

Are You Attracting the opposite of What You Want? • Your fifth step is that, it’s very important to absorb yourself in achieving your desires, by reading out aloud your statement every day in the morning when you wake up and at night before you go to bed. Your mind has to be consumed with achieving this desire, so you have to keep reminding yourself what your goal is.

You will stop attracting the opposite and start manifesting your desires. In addition, you have to stop focusing and counting your failings or the things you’ve done wrong. That will only make you attract the exact opposite of what you want. Focus on your successes, no matter how small. Focus on the good you want in your life and your life will change for the better.

So when am about to complain and doubt, I tell myself, “stop it not today”, then I focus on the things I want and give thanks for everything else working out in my life. Tremendous difference, but not easy, coz often time your mind can drift off in pity land. But what’s the cost of staying in pity land but attracting more of what you don’t want?
