A self-centered life is characterized by self, pride, anger, crisis and grief. We love ourselves more than how we love others. Even if we try to love others, everything iscentered around us. Our relationship with others is often base on personal achievements. Proverbs 13:10 By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.
To overcome self-centeredness is to overcome bitterness inour hearts. James 3:14-16, But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. Thiswisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion andevery evil thing are there.
