  1. 1. 1 Gospel Baptist Tabernacle 781 Salem Road, Rossville, GA 30741 Where the Love of God abounds, everyone is welcome. Children’s Church taught by Paul and Marsha Davis during preaching. 4-6-2014
  2. 2. 2 Proverbs 16:21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. (TLB) The wise man is known by his common sense, and a pleasant teacher is the best. A harsh teacher is ineffective.
  3. 3. 3 Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The Holy Spirit produces gentleness in us. A man or woman under the anointing of God will speak and teach with a gentle manner. If your goal is to teach or persuade, a gentle manner and voice is far more effective.
  4. 4. 4 21a The wise in heart shall be called prudent: … The wise man is known by his common sense (TLB) Do you want to know if a man or woman can be trusted to be a teacher and a leader? Look at his or her life.
  5. 5. 5 Is he faithful and dependable in all? If he is, then he can be safely followed as a wise man.
  6. 6. 6 22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. (TLB) 22 Wisdom is a fountain of life to those possessing it, but a fool’s burden is his folly. Foolishness is a burden, not only to the acquaintances of fools, But unto the fool himself.
  7. 7. 7 Foolish choices
  8. 8. 8 Such folly is a burden. When we make poor choices, life gets more complicated and difficult. Is a virtue These choices will do to live by.
  9. 9. 9 1 Peter 5 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Be sober-minded; make careful choices. Be on guard; say NO to foolishness.
  10. 10. 10 Life can become a burden. But we do it to ourselves. Troubled relationships Job troubles Law troubles Mostly because a man or woman demands his or her own way.
  11. 11. 11 But we can have a blessed life, if we will. Psalm 1 1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD; and in His Law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Good living!
