2. Proverbs 15:13 A merry
heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
If you’re happy notify your face.
Neither happiness nor sorrow is the result of
circumstances, although most people think so.
Condition

3. We can choose to be happy and content.
For every minute you are angry or
irritated, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.

Nobody can make you angry;
you choose to get angry.
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
Focus your mind on the good things in your life.
3
4. Don’t give anyone else power
over your state of mind.
Choose to make the better response to annoyances.
Some people need a sign to
wear around their neck.
But we still choose how we will respond.

5. James 4 7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw
nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse
your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye
double-minded. Become single-minded
When we are in close fellowship with our
Lord, nothing can steal our joy.
Anyone who is unhappy and their mind is in
turmoil, needs first to genuinely repent from sin.
They need to focus like
a laser.
On God’s Way
of living.
5
6. We may not choose directly
how we feel, but we can
choose the way we
think, what we say, and what
we do;
The way we think, the words
we speak, and the deeds we
do determine how we feel.
6
7. 14 The
heart of him that hath understanding seeketh
knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on
foolishness.
A person of understanding
(intelligence and wisdom) is
hungry for knowledge.
A fool doesn’t want to learn, isn’t
going to learn, hinders everyone else
from learning.
7
8. Proverbs 2 (TLB) 1-2 Every young man who listens
to me and obeys my instructions will be given
wisdom and good sense. 3 Yes, if you want better
insight and discernment, 4 and are searching for
them as you would for lost money or hidden
treasure, then wisdom will be given you and
knowledge of God Himself; 5 you will soon learn
the importance of reverence for the Lord and of
trusting Him.
Don’t choose to die with the mind of a fool.
Choose to learn and become a
man or woman of God.
8
9. 15 All
the days of the afflicted (depressed) are evil:
but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
Never a good day.
Always defeated.
Seldom a bad day.
9
10. 16 Better
is little with the fear of the LORD than
great treasure and trouble therewith.
Money doesn’t always bring trouble.
It depends on the person.
There are those whom God can bless with
abundance and it will bring joy and peace.

11. Those who love the Lord and obey His Word will
be happy no matter their circumstances.

James 1 8 A double minded man is unstable in all
his ways.

12. Choose
If part of you wants to serve the Lord, but part of
you wants to live for the pleasure of this world –
Choose.
Joshua 24 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve
the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will
serve; whether the gods which your fathers served
that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods
of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for
me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
