Acts 3b Be bold; don't miss an opportunity.

  1. 1. 781 Salem Road, Rossville, GA 30741 July 13, 2011 Peter and John healed the lame man at the Temple gate call Beautiful. He went walking, leaping, and praising God into the Temple.
  2. 2. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
  3. 3. The people saw him and recognized that he was the lame man who had begged at the Temple gate for so many years . Lame from his mother's womb Over forty years old
  4. 4. This was not some stranger come to town; They had known him all of his life. They were filled with wonder and amazement .
  5. 5. 11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. 12 And when Peter saw it , he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
  6. 6. 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified His Son Jesus; Whom ye delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
  7. 7. Don't miss an opportunity to stand up for the Lord. Stand up, Stand up for Jesus, Ye soldiers of the cross. Lift high His Royal Banner, It must not suffer loss.
  8. 8. Why did Peter keep reminding the Jews of their part in the crucifixion of their Messiah? Each person, who would be saved, must confess his sin as sin , And turn unto God and His Righteousness.
  9. 9. 16 And His Name through faith in His Name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. The lame man was healed through faith in the Name of Jesus . It takes faith to be saved or healed or blessed in any way.
  10. 10. 17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it , as did also your rulers. 18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath so fulfilled. Ignorance of the dire results of their evil deed. Willful ignorance of Who Jesus really was.
  11. 11. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted (turn) , that your sins may be blotted out , when the times of refreshing shall come from the Presence of the Lord; This offer is good to anyone who will hear and believe and obey . Ask God to forgive you in the Name of Jesus. He will deliver you from power and guilt of sin , and from the torments of hell .
  12. 12. Christians must spread the Good News. Tell people that God loves them; Tell them that Jesus saves .
