  • I am the parent of two students at Buena Vista Elementary. The numbers used to get the astronomically high 'cost per student' is incorrect. The total cost of running the school was only divided by the 286 elementary students. Our school is shared by a Head Start and Preschool, as well as other entities, and although they share and increase our total COST thier students were not included in the 'cost per student.' Using that number as a basis to close down our school was not only unfair, but completely incorrect.
