Dear Mr Rodriguez,
I can confirm your teams place is now reserved in the competition, so could you please
complete the details below, and I will send an Information pack within the next few days.
I would like to extend an invitation to your team to compete in the World Club Basketball Tournament,
hosted by Bexhill Giants Basketball Club this September 2015.

4. The event will feature USA Basketball Select as part of their European exposure tour and the Great
Britain Police team as well as other overseas teams from countries including Turkey, France & Tunisia.
In addition the tournament will also be filmed for local and overseas TV and other social media outlets.
Bexhill on Sea is in the South of England, East Sussex 30 miles from Gatwick Airport, 5 miles from
Hastings, and 25 miles from Brighton, and 90 minutes on the train from London Victoria and London
Bridge train stations.
The tournament which has been endorsed by Basketball England is open to Men’s over 18 teams, and
they must be registered with their relevant association during the 2014/15 season along. Players should
also be registered with their relevant national association.
Any teams travelling from overseas should arrange their own travel and sports injury insurance however
Bexhill Giant have public liability to cover injuries to Basketball England registered members.
Tournament Format
The tournament format will consist of two groups of five or 6 teams depending on the number of entries
with the top four of each group progressing to the quarter finals, semi-finals then finals.
Medals and trophies will be available for winners, runners up and MVP.
Each team will play a minimum of four matches 2 x 12 minutes halves, the matches will be played over
two days on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September

5. With teams arriving on the Friday for the opening ceremony and registration if they are able to.
Alternatively depending on the schedule and travel arrangements teams can arrive on the Saturday no
later than 9.30am.
Matches will be played from 11am until 7pm on the Saturday and from 10am until 6pm on the Sunday.
Transportation can also be arranged to and from the venue if required, please let us know.
The event is a two-day tournament and the entry fee is £150 per team to be submitted on completion
of the application form.
Accommodation
All teams are required to arrange their own accommodation for the duration tournament there are
several options in around Bexhill On Sea & Hastings available including Travelodge Hastings, Hotels
or Bed and Breakfast, however we have organised host families at £30 per player per night including

The dates of the tournament matches are 12th & 13th September with registration the evening before on
the 11th or by 9.30am on the Saturday 13th September at the Bexhill Leisure Centre.
Teams Dinner
A social event and dinner including a 3 course buffet meal, for all teams their families and spectators
has been arranged for the evening of Saturday 13th September, at the Chilli Tree Restaurant. The cost
of £10 per person to include prizes, entertainment and a raffle, all proceeds go to Kidney Research UK.
