Organizational Profile <ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to School Health Programs, Facial Deformity Programs and Oral Cancer Programs in Slums and Rural Areas for the Underprivileged. </li></ul><ul><li>Founded in 2007, Trinity Care Foundation is registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Indian Trusts Act 1882, (Reg No. : SHV-4-00745- 2007-2008). </li></ul><ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation is registered Under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and approved under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, from the assessment year 2010-2011 onwards, (Order No.: DIT (E) BLR/80G/4/AABTT5300R/ITO(E)- 2/Vol.2010-2011), dated April 20, 2010. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Facial Deformity and Oral Cancer Program <ul><li>Face Defects / Deformities , also known as Facial Defects / Deformities are deformities in the growth of the skull and facial bones. These are congenital deformities (present at birth) and can be corrected by reconstructive surgery and can be Craniofacial Deformities (affecting the skull), Maxillofacial Deformities (affecting the upper jaw) and Dentofacial Deformities (affecting the bony structure and teeth). </li></ul><ul><li>Types of Facial Deformities:- Cleft Lip, Cleft Palate, Facial Palsy, Chin Deformity, Craniosynostosis, Maxillary Deformity, Deformational Plagiocephaly, Mandible Deformity, Vascular Malformations , Hemangiomas , Hemifacial Microsomia and Microtia . </li></ul><ul><li>Statistics reveal that on an average, One in 800 babies in India are born with Cleft Lip and Palate Deformity. </li></ul><ul><li>India has one of the highest incidence of Oral cancer in the world. The high incidence of oral cancer and oral pre-cancerous lesions in India has long been linked with the habit of betel quid chewing incorporating tobacco. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Facial Deformity and Oral Cancer Program <ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation Conducts Facial Deformity Screening Camps in Synergy with 1. Department of Women & Child Welfare , Govt. of Karnataka, 2. Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka in Taluks for the Underprivileged Sections. </li></ul><ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation Conducts these Screening Camps with other Like Minded Voluntary Organizations . </li></ul><ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation organizes and Conducts the Screening Programs . </li></ul>

  6. 6. Facial Deformity & Oral Cancer Screening Camp in Madhugiri Taluk, Tumkur District, Karnataka, India. Date :- 23 rd October 2009. Facial Deformity & Oral Cancer Cases Indentified : 62.
  7. 7. Facial Deformity & Oral Cancer Screening Camp in Channapatna Taluk, Ramnagara District, Karnataka, India. Date :- 20 th December 2009. Facial Deformity & Oral Cancer Cases Indentified : 32.

Oral Public Health Program <ul><li>Oral health is an essential component of health throughout life. </li></ul><ul><li>Poor oral health and untreated oral diseases and conditions can have a significant impact on quality of life. </li></ul><ul><li>They can affect the most basic human needs, including the ability to eat and drink, swallow, maintain proper nutrition, smile, and communicate. </li></ul><ul><li>Healthy Behaviours can only be inculcated at Young Age ! </li></ul>

Oral Public Health Program <ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation is implementing Oral Health Program in Schools . </li></ul><ul><li>The Program includes Dental Check-up and Oral Health Awareness for children. </li></ul><ul><li>The Children are referred to nearby Dental Institute’s for Further Treatments .  </li></ul><ul><li>IEC Materials about Tooth Brushing Techniques and Effects of Tobacco on Health are Shown. </li></ul>

  11. 11. Oral Health Program for Cambridge School, Bangalore - 36 . Number of Students :- 641 on 9 th February 2010 . Trinity Care Foundation implemented the Program
  12. 12. Rural Oral Health Program for Orphanage at Jangamakote, Shildlaghatta Taluk, Karnataka . Number of Children :- 225 on 27 th April 2010 . Trinity Care Foundation and M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital in Synergy to Implement the Program
  13. 13. Oral Health Program for Government High School, Jalahalli, Bangalore -13, Number of Children :- 294 ( Age Group 13-15yrs ) on 29 th July 2010 . Trinity Care Foundation and K.L.E.S Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital in Synergy to Implement the Program
  14. 14. Oral Health Program for Government P U College, Jalahalli, Bangalore -13, Number of Children :- 275 ( Age Group 15-17yrs ) on 30 th July 2010 . Trinity Care Foundation and K.L.E.S Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital in Synergy to Implement the Program

  16. 16. Rural Medical & Dental Camp at Dodda Manju, Krishnagiri Taluk, Tamil Nadu . Number of Patients:- 418 Tribals on 25 th October 2009. Trinity Care Foundation, M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital, Rotary Hosur and Various Organization participated in the Program.

Goals of Trinity Care Foundation! <ul><li>Most cleft births occur in  rural India   where poverty is rampant and access to medical resources is scarce. </li></ul><ul><li>A cleft defect  can be corrected  through surgery for as little as  Rs. 15,000 . But left untreated, it devastates lives.  </li></ul><ul><li>Trinity Care Foundation  singular goal  is to provide  free, safe and quality treatment  of cleft defects to millions of children in India. </li></ul>
