  2. 2. Kit Constituents <ul><li>An HPV sample collection kit for HPV DNA PCR contains: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>A spatula </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A cyto-brush </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A tube containing sterile saline </li></ul></ul>
  3. 3. Sample Collection Procedure <ul><li>1. Spatula: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Rotate the spatula 360 degrees by first ensuring its proper placement in the cervix </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Spatula will scrape the cervical tissue, and help in maneuvering the process of appropriate sample collection on the cytobrush </li></ul></ul>
  4. 4. Sample Collection Procedure <ul><li>2. Cyto-brush: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Rotate the cyto-brush in endometrial canal </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Also, the cervical tissue scraped using spatula is picked up on cyto-brush </li></ul></ul>

A tube containing sterile saline: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The cyto-brush after sample collection, is cut and dropped into the tube containing sterile saline in the kit </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The tube containing cyto-brush is then finally transported to RLS lab at 2-8 degree Celsius. </li></ul></ul>
