  • this ointment is very effective. my 1 year old son was scalded by hot water on the chest and it was dry after 2 days of application, and completely healed after a week.

  2. 2. MEBO MEBO (Moist Exposed Burn Ointment) is a Chinese herbal formulation and has been proposed as an efficacious product for the management of partial-thickness burns.
  3. 3. CONSTITUENTS  The MEBO contains  b-sitosterol  Baicalin  Berberine  Base of beeswax and sesame oil.
  4. 4. CONSTITUENTS  In addition, MEBO includes in its formula 18 amino acids, 4 major fatty acids, vitamins, and polysaccharides.
  5. 5. HISTORY  The MEBO was developed in the 1980s by Professor Rongxiang Xu in china in the form of an herbal remedy and was claimed as the ideal burn wound dressing.
