CrownPoint Disaster Relief Initiative <ul><li>Strengthens the local congregation to </li></ul><ul><li>be a “service center” for the local community; </li></ul><ul><li>provide volunteers with meaningful opportunities for service and sharing; </li></ul><ul><li>be an “early responder”; </li></ul><ul><li>expand its understanding of “mission and ministry”; </li></ul><ul><li>provide opportunities to reach people in the community through service, through the Word, and through caring; </li></ul><ul><li>train local volunteers in action and witness; and, </li></ul><ul><li>The local church would experience what it means to be the “voice of Christ” in reaching people in the community with the saving message of Jesus Christ. </li></ul>
