Why we use IIIF? ● IIIF shifts the focus from library standards to web standards. ● IIIF provides a framework for interoperability with other frameworks that encourage sharing and linking, e.g. ResourceSync. ● IIIF helps libraries, museums, etc. shift attention from administrative uses of interoperability (OAI-PMH, OAI- CORE etc.) to end-user empowerment in working with digital cultural heritage on the web.
