  3. 3. To be Successful the Strategy needs the following…<br />Team members who are team players<br />Interactive engagement among students<br />Accountability from individual and group members<br />Reflection on personal learning<br />
  4. 4. Advantages of Using the Strategy<br />Students help each other learn and encourage individual team members' success.<br />We did it as a team!!!<br />
  5. 5. Advantages of Using the Strategy<br />The group members work with others to gain knowledge from each other. <br />
  6. 6. Advantages of Using the Strategy<br /> All content areas can be included in cooperative learning groups.<br />Reading, Math, Science, History…<br />
  7. 7. Disadvantages<br />Some Students may not want to work together<br />The strategy can loose its effectiveness if overused<br />Groups need to be kept small<br />
  8. 8. Integration<br />Cooperative learning groups can be used in the classroom to engage in peer tutoring, communicate ideas, create work products, and enhance learning.<br />
  9. 9. Integration<br />Students can work together to solve problems. <br />Students can work together to prepare presentations on topics to present to the rest of the class. <br />
  10. 10. Conclusion<br /> Cooperative learning is a teaching strategy that can be used to enhance a variety of learning experiences. The instructor should ensure that specific learning outcomes are accomplished.<br />
