The Holy Quran on the Permanent Darkness of the Universe

Published on

It is only after the fist journey into space that man discovered that the whole of the universe is immersed in darkness and that it is the day layer that causes the sun rays to be seen, the Holy Quran mentions this fact more than 1400 years ago

The Holy Quran on the Permanent Darkness of the Universe

 1. 1. By MagdyAbdalshafy
The Holy Quran mentions the Day layer
2. 2. In Just one verse the Holy Quran refers to the following newly discovered facts:
The solar Apex in the Holy Quran The permanent
darkness of the universe.
The S-shaped motion of the moon.
The independents orbits of the moon and the sun.

3. 3. : The permanent darkness of the universe
It was recently discovered that the whole of the universe is immersed in darkness and that only a thin of layer that could be seen, this layer of light is caused by the light layer(atmosphere), once you leave the atmosphere, you will be met with darkness that engulfs the universe. The thin layer of light, if compared with the entire universe, is very thin.

4. 4. The Holy Quran refers to the thinness of day(light) layer
The Holy Quran mentions this fact long before science when it likens the universe to the body of an animal and the light that immerse the earth to the sloughed skin.
The height of the day(light) layer is just 200Km, while the distance between the earth to the sun is 150 millions Km (note that don’t talk about the circumference of the universe)
God says in the Holy Quran what means:
And a sign for them is the night. We skin (remove from)
it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. (36:37)

5. 5. In these pictures, planet earth is completely engulfed by darkness, you can just see a thin layer of light , this is scientifically known as the day layer to which the Holy Quran refers.

6. 6. The day layer as photographed from the space, the earth is surrounded by
a thin layer of light while the whole universe is immersed in darkness as described in the Holy Quran

7. 7. The High velocity of the sun
The Sun is traveling at the enormous speed of 720,000 kilometers an hour in the direction of the star Vega in a particular orbit called the Solar Apex. This means that the sun travels roughly 17,280,000 kilometers a day.
The Holy Quran says : And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point.(36:37)
Note that the word “Yag’ry” in Arabic ( run) is significant, it implies high velocity and oscillatory movement of the sun while running towards the Solar Apex. Modern astrophysics agrees with the Holy Quran.
