  6. 6. ● What are the base components? ○ Paper from packaging ○ Plastic from packaging, housings, gears, etc ○ Metal from bearings, axles, brackets, etc ○ PCBA which become eWaste ● For each, Ask: ○ How long does each material stick around? ○ What is required to recycle it?
  7. 7. ● Product Level: a. Look at the whole supply chain, from cradle-to-grave. b. Use less packaging, and avoid PVC. c. Design products to be repairable. d. Design for recycling from the beginning. ● Higher Level: a. Keep recycling local. b. Support legislation that requires companies to be responsible through the whole lifecycle of the product.
