The Question <ul><li>What is the relationship between p 4 student academic achievement in social science and the ICT use in the classroom ? </li></ul><ul><li>Independent variable - ICT using in classroom </li></ul><ul><li>Dependence variable - student examination result in social science classes </li></ul>
  3. 3. Data collection <ul><li>Choose a sample primary school and one class of p4 student. Separate the students into two groups averagely. </li></ul><ul><li>Give the students a test of social science. </li></ul><ul><li>One group student study the social science with ICT using; the other group study the social science only. </li></ul><ul><li>Give the two groups another test of social science. </li></ul><ul><li>Compare the advancement of two group students. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Data collection ( cont. ) <ul><li>Observation on lesson </li></ul><ul><li>Design questionnaire for measuring the using of ICT in class </li></ul><ul><li>Interview with teacher s and random choose of student and their parents . </li></ul>

The assumption of research findings <ul><li>If a positive correction is found: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>ICT can equip student logical thinking by providing them a helpful scaffolding and inspire the students with interests. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>ICT provide a easy way for student to communicate their thinking each other, seeking help from expert, professional and teachers. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>If a negative correction is found : </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Using ICT can not lead a positive role in the process of teaching and learning. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Or, ICT is not made best use in the classroom. </li></ul></ul>

What should we think about ? <ul><li>Can teacher suitable use of ICT as teaching tools, can they got the sufficient knowledge ? </li></ul><ul><li>Can student familiar with using ICT so as to improve their study ? </li></ul><ul><li>Are there any other tool better than ICT teaching, such as newspaper, educational TV programme. </li></ul>

Contributions to Education <ul><li>The research findings could show that: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Whether the integration of ICT in classroom make a positive role in enhancing education especially in the subject of social science? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Is students familiar with the use of ICT in their learning? Does it improve their study? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Does the ICT improve the learning design? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Etc. </li></ul></ul>
