How to shoot_an_arrow-1

  1. 1. How to Shoot an Arrow By: Dominick Hanson
  2. 2. You will need:

* a bow

* a quiver of arrows

* a target

  3. 3. Introduction

     Hey everyone! Have you ever tried to shoot an arrow and have failed miserably? Well I have an easy to follow step by step on shooting an arrow.

  4. 4. First:

    First grab a bow and a quiver of arrows. To string the bow you just have to put the string in the little slots at the top and bottom of the bow. Once you string the bow, it's time to get an arrow.

  5. 5. Next

    Next you need to learn how to get the arrow in the right position. Take the arrow and put the back ( opposite side where the arrow head is ) and put it on the string in between the two knots. There will be three feathers on the arrow. There are TWO of the same color and ONE of a different color. Make sure that the ONE of the different color is facing you. Also make sure to snap the arrow in place between the two knots and set the front part of the arrow on the black arrow rest. Good! Now your ready to shoot.

  6. 6. Finally

    Finally, it's time to shoot! Put your left hand on the bow under the arrow rest if your right handed. If your left handed, just put your right hand on the bow under the arrow rest. Put your other hand on the string, Make sure that your index finger is above the arrow and your middle and ring fingers are below the arrow. DON'T USE YOUR PINKIE FINGER TO SHOOT!!!! Once you did that pull the string back so it's touching your cheek, aim, and let it go! Watch the arrow go through the air and admire your work.

  7. 7. Other Facts

    You can aim your arrow at anything you want to except people. I recommend shooting at a target so you can score points. Aim for the middle ring of the target which is usually known as the "Bull's Eye." Now that you've learned to shoot an arrow, you can practice and become a pro archer!
