Basic Idea<br />When an adolescent has a dream of its future, the relation with the school changes.<br />Normally an adolescent goes to school because he has to.<br />With his own dream an adolescent will use the school to realize his dream.<br />When they start to use their schools to realize their dreams, the whole system changes.<br />Doing Dreams Foundation<br />

Process<br />Many things stop adolescents to dream of their future.<br />They need to learn to dream.<br />The need to discover their talents.<br />They need to discover the possibilities.<br />They need to discover their responsibility for their own lives.<br />They need to discover how they can contribute to the world<br />DoingDreamsFoundation<br />

Change the physical environment<br />Make the place more a place that shows respect for the adolescents.<br />For example at Ruth Cabral.<br />Modify the toilets<br />Use empty spaces to make gardens and keep them open for the adolescents <br />Involve architects and others to change the school in an open space. <br />Doing Dreams Foundation<br />

Connect the school with its environment<br />Create a bridge between Ruth Cabral and São Paulo organizing trips to cultural activities<br />Start a bureau for volunteers that will do extra things for the school<br />Museum Pinacoteca will give lessons in art and at the same time the adolescents will select art that will be hanged at the walls of the school as posters. <br />Doing Dreams Foundation<br />
