Section Two – Proposal ApplicationResearch Proposal Area: Chiral molecules (chiral switching), drug synergy, and Cyclopyrrolones (especially non- benzodiazepines ("Z-drugs")Research Title: Amplifying the effectiveness of Cyclopyrrolones (e.g. Zopidone Lunestra), and other chiral molecules through chiral switching and recombinant drug technologyResearch Overview: (500 words or less)Drug effectiveness through drug synergy is the next frontier in medicine. Rather than spendingwasted money and time searching for new and unproven drugs, amplifying the already existing effectcould prove to be beneficial in many ways. The possible benefits of finding a universal serum arelimitless; from reducing the need of large drug dosages to decreasing the number of times a drugneeds to be administered. Increasing the effectiveness of a drug could help those in environmentswhere resources and time are limited and restrained (such as military personal in the field or thoseexploring remote areas or environments where delivery of drug serves as a disruption).I have been researching the effectiveness of hypnotic (soporific) psychoactive chiral molecules suchas Cyclopyrrolones (e.g. Zopiclone), and herbal substances that have been in use in Vodun rituals.Through chiral switching, the production of single enantiomers can lead to a reduction in side effectsand toxicity as well as increasing dose effectiveness. If a recombinant process could be used toproduce a universal enantiomer (comparable to chimera plastids in DNA recombinant drugs), thiscould lead to a base, universal unlocking agent that when combined with most drug structures wouldprolong the effect and transmit the usefulness of the drug further in the human system providing afundamental shift in how the human immune system deals with disease. We could equip humans withthe mechanism to enhance any substance introduced into the system.Section Three – RefereesReferees:2
