  2. 2. Dr. M. Monte Tatom is enjoying working as Director of the iLearn Program at Freed- Hardeman University (FHU). He also is an Associate Professor of Education within the College of Education & Behavioral Sciences at FHU. He teaches EDU 642 – Advanced Technology for Educators (online) & is developing FHU’s Fully Online M.Ed. in Instructional Technology incorporating competency-based/prior-learning experience. To begin Summer 2017. He received his Ed. D. from Auburn University in Educational Administration in March 1998. He has been involved in educational technology since his first Masters level class at the University of South Alabama in 1983 –

Live-streaming is a great way for students and teachers to share up-to-date information and receive feedback using the class hashtag.

TwitCasting vs. Periscope ISTE Standards for Administrators 2B: Live- streaming will give the administrator the opportunity to model and promote the frequent and effective use of technology for learning. ISTE Standard-S 2B: Live-streaming will provide students an opportunity to share information and ideas with classmates, students in other countries and their teachers. ISTE Standard-T 3C: Live-streaming will give teachers the ability to share relevant information and ideas to students, parents, and peers.
