  1. 1. Your health is state of physical , mental and social well-being. Illnesses are health problems that affect your body´s organs.Health professionals: A general practitioner (or GP) A medical specialist is a doctor who treats specific illnesses a dermatologist diseases and a cardiologist. People usually go to hospital if they have a medical emergency.Illnesses usually have specific symtoms.A doctor make a diagnosis.
  2. 2.  We can classify illnesses into basic group: Infectious diseases are caused by microorganisms. Examples measles and chicken pox. Non –Infectious diseases aren´t caused by microorganisms. Allergies, obesity, malnutrition, substance abuse and mental illness.
  3. 3.  Bacteria, viruses, protozoans and fungi are common microorganisms. Some of them are not harmful to humans, but others can cause infectious diseases. Bacteria can cause diseases like tuberculosis, tetanus or salmonellosis. Many viruses are harmful to human beings. Flu, measles, rubella, and AIDS. Protozoans malaria, colera and amoebic dysentery. Fungi cause diseases of the skin, hair and nails.
  4. 4.  By persona contract. By contract whith contaminated objects. By animal carriers. By consumption of contaminated food. By consumption of contaminated water.
  5. 5. To prevent infectious diseases, we must keep healthy lifestyle habits and follow a scheduble of vaccinations.Wash your hand. Brush your teeth. Clean cuts. Keep your pets healthy . Wash raw fruits and vegetables . Don´t walk bare foot.
  6. 6.  A vaccine is a subtunce that contains weak or dead microorganisms. They help your body to resist the same disease in the future. A vaccination, the microorganisms in the vaccine can´t hurt you. But your body produces special subtunces called antibodies, in the future, your body will produce the same antibodies again to defend itself.
  7. 7.  Eat a balanced diet. Try to do regular exercise. Try to get 8-10 hours of sleep every night. Follow road safety rules. Try to accept and respect your self and your body, express your feeling. Accept and respect other people.
