Concept- Pattern book
Before Reading- I will take the students on a picture walk to make sure that they know the different types of animals that are in the book. The students will say where theses animals generally live.
During Reading- When the students feel like they know the pattern they will be able to join in on the reading when they feel like they know the pattern.
After Reading- Once the book has been read a couple of times, I will challenge the students by asking them what order do the animals appear in the book. After that the students will choose their favorite animal to add to the story.
