Why do people hate HR?
The Role of HR
Maximize return on investment in the
organization's human capital
Aligning the supply of skilled and qualified
Knowing capabilities of current workforce.
Managing the scarce resources and the try to
maximize the net happiness.
The Role of HR
bureaucratic force that blindly enforces
nonsensical rules, resists creativity, and impedes
Acts as buffer between professional and personal
Not everybody is happy
Everybody wants a larger share of pie.
People focus on things that they don’t get than on
things that they got.
Different people react differently to the feedback
from HR, some take it as negative criticism, some
take it as positive feedback while some others
Different strokes for different folks
“Not surprisingly, moaners tend to be a
phenomenon of below-average performers.”
“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to
failure is trying to please everybody.”
The hate …
The inward frustration of people manifests itself
into a permanent hate for HR.
It gives vent to their frustration.
Hate is infectious.
It is easier to criticize and hate somebody for their
decisions than trying to understand what forced
them to take that decision.
The hate II…
We hate some persons because we do not know
them; and will not know them because we hate
They should try to see the things from HR
perspective and try to improve themselves.
It is better to be hated for who you are, than to be
loved for someone you are not.
Hate is misguided love.
