Finance Management Enhancements <ul><ul><li>Digité Financial Management has been enhanced significantly to enable customers model their project budgeting templates easily and track accurate actual project spending more effectively. Following enhancements are made at Organization and Project level Financials :- </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Organization level (Financials module): </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>New Layout for Financial Estimate/Templates : The layout of the Financial Estimate worksheet has been improved for easier data input. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Financial Estimates in Project Requests : Project requests will now also feature the ability to capture Financial Estimates for the proposed project, which will enable project stakeholders review the financial feasibility/alignment for various requests and take better decisions. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Simplified Financial Process definition : The Account Head is renamed to Account Category and the same has been simplified for better financial tracking. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Unused features are deprecated : Few of the feature like Financial Hierarchy, Chargeback, Account Mapping, etc., which were available earlier but sparingly used, have been deprecated with this release. </li></ul></ul>

Finance Management Enhancements…Continued <ul><ul><li>Project Level (Project Financials) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Financial Estimates and Resource Plan Integration: Financial Estimates for Labor resources can now be quickly generated based on the Resource Plan defined for the Project/ Project Request. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Allocation of Non-Labor Resources (NLRs): Not-Labor resource allocation to the project has been made consistent with the labor resource allocation to the project i.e. based on % units and/ or allocated hours. This will enable better asset tracking and cost apportioning to various projects. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Transaction and Chargeback Changed to Transaction Log: Erstwhile Transaction and Chargeback modules are converted into a single module termed as Transaction Log. Transaction log will enable users to capture and track details about actual income earned and/ or expenses incurred against the Non labor resources and other transactions in the project. </li></ul></ul>

  11. 11. Resource Management Enhancements <ul><li>Resource Management module has been enhanced further to enable better resource planning and tracking.   12. 12. <ul><ul><ul><li>Project Level Role Enhancements </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Project Level Role defined at the organization level now has additional capabilities, which will assist in role-wise classification of resources and make Resource Planning more effective. This is achieved through following changes: </li></ul><ul><li>The Default Cost and Price of a resource can now be defined at Project Role level, which gets set as default cost/price for the resource, when a role is associated to it as the Primary Project Role at the time of user creation. </li></ul><ul><li>A new option Is Primary Project Role has been introduced for a Project Level role to differentiate between access roles and Primary roles of resources </li></ul><ul><li>Primary Role for any resource can now also be changed for a specific duration under “Cost and Primary Project Details” section of the user eForm. </li></ul><ul><li>Associating Primary Project Level role to a user has been made optional. This allowing flexibility to classify resources who may not have a Primary Project Role such as management level users </li></ul>
  13. 13. <ul><ul><ul><li>Project Level Role Enhancements </li></ul></ul></ul>Changing the Primary Project Role will set the default Cost to what was previously defined, for that Role.

Resource Plan related Resource Management Enhancements <ul><li>To make it more easier and quicker for Project Managers to plan and track resources effectively, the following enhancements have been made in the Resource Plan section: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Two new views, Cost and Hours have been introduced in resource plan, which grant Project Managers the advantage of strategizing in terms of monetary aspect through cost and time aspect through hours. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Based on the Project Roles of team members allocated to the project, now Allocated values are also presented with Budgeted value to achieve an accurate, realistic approach and tracking from the resource plan itself. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A graphical comparison of the Budgeted and Actual allocations is now available in resource plan view itself. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>To standardize the time units for all types of resource planning, monthly time unit has been implemented across resource plans at organization as well as project levels. </li></ul></ul>
  15. 15. Resource Plan related Resource Management Enhancements Color coding for easier comparison between the budgeted and allocated resources. Upon selection of the criteria From, To and Roles, the graph can be viewed for the selected duration and role.
  16. 16. <ul><ul><li>Resource Search, Allocation & Tracking Enhancements </li></ul></ul><ul><li> To achieve more accurate results in search, and quicker including of resources to project team through invitation, the following enhancements are done to the resource plan: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Resource Invite feature is available for an Active Resource Plan instance through which the Resources are searched with default criteria of resource plan duration. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Overloading a resource will display an alert during allocation. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Searching capability for team members at project level has been enhanced. </li></ul></ul>
  17. 17. <ul><ul><li>Team Search Results Enhancements </li></ul></ul>Resource Availability indicator on clicking will show the allocation details of the resource. Resource hours are computed from the Project Calendar
  18. 18. Dashboards Enhancements <ul><ul><li>Item Status Dashboard component has been enhanced to include support for Organization Level eForms </li></ul></ul>

Portfolio Management <ul><li>Continuing with our effort to enhance the Portfolio Management capabilities in Digité enterprise, we have made following usability improvements :- </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The “Applicable For” option that decides the availability of the Parameter types has been moved from Objective to Parameter definition screen. This provides greater flexibility to the Objective definition as the Objective can now consist of Parameters which can be applicable to both Projects and Project Requests or either. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Respective Percentage totals for Objective and the Parameters are now displayed in the Score chart template screen thus allowing easier way to keep track of the total weightage added for an objective for each parameter. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Other UI/UX changes include renaming &quot;Requests&quot; to &quot;Project Requests&quot;, and “Work Items” to “Investments”, and deprecated the Rank column from Dashboard Score Chart. </li></ul></ul>

  21. 21. Access Configuration Changes <ul><li>Based on multiple customer requests, we have been enhancing access configuration to make UCPs more intuitive. Following changes have been made in this module:- </li></ul><ul><li>“ Complete” and “Re-Open” buttons on eForm instances are now governed through a separate UCP (Complete/Reopen) </li></ul><ul><li>More freedom is given in controlling the accessibility of features, which were tied to factory shipped roles through separate access permission settings. Features part of the Resource and Project filter, Reporting Access of a user, and Export of Project & Process Template linked to factory shipped roles such as Org Admin, Editor are now accessible based on the access rights for respective UCPs only. </li></ul>

Stack Upgrades <ul><ul><li>Digité-MSP Integration: With the release of Digité Enterprise ver. 6.4 , the support to Microsoft Project 2010 has also been added. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Microsoft Project 2010 provides two ways of scheduling tasks. The Manual and Auto Scheduling mode of tasks can be set using the Task mode column in the MPP. Digité currently only supports the Auto Scheduled task and hence upon check-in will prompt the user to change the task mode of any such Manually Scheduled task. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Projects once checked in using this higher version of Microsoft Project will not be available for check out in lower versions of Microsoft Project . </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Browser Support: Apart from existing browsers, Digité Enterprise ver. 6.4 can also be used in Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4 browser versions. </li></ul></ul>

Timesheet Performance Enhancement (Beta) <ul><li>To improve the performance of the timesheet module, we have focused on decreasing the time taken for route/reject/approve/closure operations through a new behavior. </li></ul><ul><li>This Timesheet performance enhancement will mainly benefit clients having high count of concurrent users performing the timesheet route simultaneously, due to their organizational processes such as billing cycles. </li></ul><ul><li>The enhanced timesheet route operation will be queued for update. This is similar to the process of existing MSP check-in or project creation operations handling. On routing a timesheet, user will be shown a message that the operation will be completed soon and that the user can navigate away. </li></ul>

Timesheet Performance Enhancement (Beta) <ul><li>The performance enhancement done for the timesheet routing can be enabled through the system. property file </li></ul><ul><li>This will affect the current timesheet behavior in the following ways at high level: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Timesheet screen will not be available for editing until the timesheet is routed successfully. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Timesheet status in the timesheet list will be shown as “In Progress” and the Timesheet Status Report will show the last updated/saved status till successful completion of the Timesheet routing. </li></ul></ul>

Miscellaneous Usability Enhancements <ul><li>Other enhancements include: </li></ul><ul><li>Export and print options which were not enabled previously in some reports, have now been added for Timesheet, Cost, and SLA reports. This will be continually provided for other reports in future releases. </li></ul><ul><li>The default display for task listing of all projects has now been made to Hierarchical view. </li></ul><ul><li>EForms will be seen in the Scorecard tab of the project profile page based on their accessibility. So the UCP, Scorecard Report for respective EForms has been deprecated. </li></ul>

Miscellaneous Other Enhancements <ul><ul><li>Application Preference Name has been renamed from Notify users when you are invited to a new project to Notify team-member when allocated or un-allocated from a project so that it is more indicative about the Preference functionality. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Global Item instances in a timesheet can be deleted only if no time logs are present on it. This has been made consistent with the Time Logs logged in EForms as well. </li></ul></ul>
