OVERVIEW OF DCCSDS • As at 30 June 2015 5934 full-time equivalent staff 58.65% in frontline roles, 30.74% in frontline support roles 10.61% in corporate roles • In 2014–15, the department contracted services from 1186 government and non-government organisations with approximately $1.469 billion to support individuals, families and communities. • The department invested $91.418 million for services from the Commonwealth for the delivery of disability services for people over the age of 65.

  9. 9. FUTURE WAYS OF WORKING Outlines how the department will work with Queensland communities, industry and across government to: • embrace technology, • embed digitally enabled services and • give Queenslanders choice, flexibility and autonomy in how they engage with government.
  10. 10. INFORMATION SERVICES Information Services supports: • DCCSDS • Youth Justice Services (within Department of Justice and Attorney-General - DJAG) • Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships (DATSIP) • More than 220 networked sites across Queensland.

  14. 14. • Analyse and understand the interactions between Child Safety Officers and young people in out-of-home • Developed using a customer-centric approach, and co-designed with young people in care, young consultants from CREATE, NGO staff, and child safety officers in the North Coast region. • Share important information and documents - collect and store information for a young person’s life story • Facilitate future visioning and goal setting - complimentary communication channel • Build upon relationships between frontline staff and young people KICBOX APP
