While you will have supervisors to support and guide you, you are the true owner and master of your destiny. • it’s your career
if you haven’t noticed, lots of people want to tell you what is best for you
  • We think success is dependent on extending the passion you’ve already created to a broader audience.
  • what’s not important to you?
  • know what you want
there are so many ways to define success
    don’t go with assumptions
    be honest with yourself
    what’s important to you
    what do you really want
what is most important (because tradeoffs are inevitable)
don’t assume it’s what everyone else wants
    life and career
  • connect them to your values, to you
    give people the why
make sure they know why it’s important to you, what it will allow you to do/become
    keep it open-ended
  • confidants, personal board of directors
    they will make it better
they will help you think it thought
  • timing is everything
people forget, but they will appreciate the reminder
don’t be afraid to remind them of what you want (and what you can do)
  • seems impossible to imagine a time when you’re feeling uncomfortable, but it will happen
    the 100th time you’ve written a brief
    the 1,000 campaign you’ve launched
being uncomfortable means that you are doing something new
it means you are growing & learning
you should always feel uncomfortable about something you’re doing
  • what’s next
    what are you curious about
what would i like to try
  • your attitude will determine your opportunity
  • what does this tell me about who I want to be
what does this tell me about who I don’t want to be
  • it’s your career
    you can let it happen
    or make it happen
