She takes a sip of her drink and nearly chokes when she realizes
who this man is…
Gwendolyn, Spencer and Lydell hop off the bus when it pulls up in
front of the Pratt house.
Gwendolyn is all smiles. She has never felt anything like this
before. It’s not puppy love that she’s feeling…it’s the great feeling
Gwendolyn continues to grin, while Spencer wears the scowl of
Spencer sits out on the lawn to do his homework. Gwendolyn and
Lydell chat on the front porch.
“I know who you are…”Candy tells the mixologist, remembering a
picture that used to hang above the mantle in her parent’s home.
“You’re my long lost uncle Braydon…the one that left town and was never
heard from again…” The mixologist looks away and Candy pauses, “but
how can that be?” Candy tries to calculate in her head. If this is really her
long lost uncle, he would have to be almost a hundred years old…or older.
Candy’s mother Yasmin and Aunt Carmen were the youngest of the
Murphy children and they passed away long ago.
“How can you be here? What’s going on?” Candy asks frightened.
How can Braydon Murphy be standing here looking not much older
than she is?
“How can you be standing here?” She repeats.
The mixologist finally responds. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.
I’ve never heard of this Braydon Murphy,” he says, but his voice sounds
Candy is 100% sure that this is her mother’s brother. But why is he
denying it? What does he have to hide?
Candy leaves the matter alone for now, but is determined to get to
the bottom of this. Why would Braydon Murphy return to Sunset
Valley after so many years and deny who he is?
Candy leaves for home. She has a bit of research to do.
