Regular star polygons

  1. 1. REGULAR STAR POLYGONS Visual arts
  2. 2. REGULAR STAR POLYGONS• A STAR POLYGON is a shape that we get when, inside a circumference, we connect every non-consecutive vertex of a polygon. To draw the star, we need to put the vertex of the star points on the circumference. These points are the same as for drawing a regular polygon, but instead of joining the points consecutively, we will join them alternately until we have connected them all. !
  3. 3. REGULAR STAR POLYGONS• Star polygons have number, type, step, and density:• Number is the amount of points the polygon has.• Type is the number of straight lines, used in drawing it.• Step is the number of parts every line of the star polygon has.• Density is the number of times you have to go around the circumference in order to close the star polygon.
