4. EAFIT University was founded on 1960 by
a group of business men with the purpose
of bring up suitable professionals aware of
their responsibility with the country.
Today, the University has four Schools –
Administration, Engineering, Sciences
and Humanities and Law.
The campus is located in Medellin,
Antioquia; with 22 buildings of
classrooms, offices and laboratories, as
well as open spaces where academic and
cultural activities can be carried out. All
the classrooms are equipped with the
latest technology.
The university has expanded its activity to
other zones of the country: Bogota,
Pereira, Llano Grande.
5. EAFIT University’s mission is to contribute to the
country’s social, economic, scientific and cultural
development through the offer of undergraduate
and graduate programs –imbedded in ideological
pluralism and academic excellence, to educate
individuals, graduates who are internationally
competitive in their areas of knowledge; within
scientific and applied research processes in constant
interaction with the academic, corporate and
governmental sectors.

resources, online resources, and different
presentations.
LABORATORIES: Are specialized classrooms
for academic support, providing the
resources of laboratories and workshops for
the departments of engineering, basic
sciences and humanities.
