  18. 18. Presto· The presto plugin for yum adds support for downloading deltarpms and using them to generate new packages· It will make a substantial dent in the amount of data having to be downloaded for updates

PackageKit· Packagekit is a distribution neutral package management framework and frontend· The actual nuts-and-bolts distro tool (yum, apt, conary, etc) is used by PackageKit using compiled and scripted helpers.   20. 20. PolicyKit· PolicyKit provides a flexible framework for granting users access to privileged operations. It is meant to replace the old userhelper approach, and overcome some of its shortcomings
  21. 21. SystemD· systemd is a system and service manager for Linux, compatible with SysV and LSB init scripts· Fedora 14 featured it is a technology preview. It is the default in Fedora 15 and above replacing Upstart
  22. 22. SELinux· SE (Security Enhanced) Linux is a security feature in the Linux kernel and enabled by default in Fedora that provides more fine grained access control compared to traditional file permissions· A centralized policy determines which software can access what resources

Kickstart· Many system administrators would prefer to use an automated installation method to install Fedora on their machines· Using kickstart, a system administrator can create a single file containing the answers to all the questions that would normally be asked during a typical installation
