The elective on networked environment was a different experience for me to
think about architecture and technology together. After all the sessions and doing
an exercise, my perspective is that at some point, technology decreases the
quality of joy. For example, we wait to play video games in summer vacations, but
today, we know that we can play many games in our cellphones itself at anytime,
anywhere. So, it’s the one thing. Second, it’s disconnecting people who are near
to us and connecting people who far away. Also, at some point, we are mixing our
personal and professional life due to this.
One thing I liked about this while discussion that we should see the technology as
services of architecture which helps it to extend its experiential quality. For
example, if we take this as a security purpose, we should aware of it that it can be
using from good and bad both ways. (Stop crime and/or increases the crime)
After having reviews from people about pros and cones of technology, the
conclusion of it came that technology is not bad and we should introduce it to our
new generations, because it is what they have to live with. But we also have to
see that they don’t get dependent on it. We should show them proper way to use
it.
We all know that everything have positives and negatives, it’s like two sides of a
single coin. But have to take a stand and it is that, it’s good. But we should make
sure that how we use it.

Basically, there is a development in technology due to the human needs and to
make human life easy. The evolution rate of the technology is exponentially
increasing with time. I think development and advancement in technology must
not be extreme, it must be beneficial not fatal. This increase in rate clearly
suggests that it will lead us to a better and smarter world. Each and every
generation want to know and learn the technology so as they are not left behind.
The adaptability time must be flexible so that every generation stays with the
technology. Acceptance of a particular technology depends on its advantages and
most of all the economy of a particular country. For example in our country India,
acceptance and the adaptation of a particular technology depends whether it is
economical or not because the country having the second highest population in
the world has a larger power with its people therefore in relation to the economy.
Sometimes there is an issue related to the spread and awareness of the new
technology for example today i7 processor is latest as it gives speed while most of
the people still uses Pentium or i3 processor. This also again depends on whether
it is economical or not. Thus I think the evolution rate of the technology and
advancement must be moderate so that people can adapt that with the time
period.
The other topic is about the idea of having a smart city. I think that a smart
building minimalizes human effort. In relation to the architecture I think
technology must be incorporated into design. For example the house in Berlin is
perfect if looked in terms of technology and its self-efficiency. That house can be
called an independent house as it generates its own electricity through the solar
panels and facilitates one with everything one requires. Taking energy from a very
raw source and converting and storing it, making its best possible use. Thus
energy losses in the electricity transmission can be almost stopped. Things are
becoming compact with larger capacities and capabilities. Systems are becoming
smarter and safer. Thus incorporation of technology must be there but its priority
depends on individual.

Nowadays technology has become an inseparable part of our lives. Everybody
makes use of it in one way or the other. Technology has its advantages and
disadvantages. One should be able to make the difference when to stop using it
and how to use it wisely only when needed. We should make use of it but it
should not over power our life. People are becoming lazier and it is affecting their
health. People has become so dependent on the technology that they don’t even
bother to think or work by themselves when needed.
Technology in architecture plays the similar role. There are advantages and
disadvantages for architecture. Introduction of technology to architecture has
killed the old traditional values and vernacular architectural practices. Due to
technology, in Indian it has also affected the employment of the people. Example,
earlier people use to keep watchmen or gate keepers who would open the door
when needed but since the introduction of CCTV cameras, or sensor doors,
people are not needed. Also the use of technology in architecture is affecting the
climate as well. The introduction of glass facades, possible only because of
technology, has resulted in global warming in a large scale.
Talking about the last exercise we did, I really loved the idea that if you want to
know people’s idea on something, you should do something bizarre and they will
come to you up front and start talking. When we asked people about their
opinions in the park, on the use of technology and our behavior due to it in the
society, 70% of people said that it is beneficial as well as harmful for their lives.
They said that it connects them to their distant relatives and makes their life
easier but sometimes they get carried away because of that and also mentioned
some health related issues. Some said that it is very harmful for children.
But what I noticed is that when we asked elderly people, they could speak about
the harmful as well positive effects of it, but when I asked the teenagers, they
couldn’t speak much about it. I think that they have accepted the use of
technology fully in their lives and are not ready to let go of it.
I personally feel that one should use technology only when needed and then rest
of the time they should use for themselves, spend time with nature, people,
explore things and do what they love and aspire their dreams.

• I AM OPPOSITE OF TECHNOLOGY IN SESON-1. I AM USE THE
TECHNOLOGY BUT AT A ONE POINT I AM STOP.
• TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD BUT ITS HABIT VERY BED THING FOR HUMAN
NATURE.
• LIKE SOME ANDROID PHONE. PHONE IS GOOD ITS CONNECT TO EVERY
ONE DEFFERENT PLACES AT ONE TIME. BUT WE ARE USE THIS KIND OF
DEVICES LIKE 8HR-10HR. AND FOR THIS REASON NEXT GENERATION
WATCHING AND THEY ARE USE THE TECHNOLOGY IN GOOD MANORS OR
BED MANORS
• BY THE USE THE TECHNOLOGY WE LEFT OUR MANORS AND ALSO
DEPEND ON US WHAT WE GET OUT OF THE TECHNOLOGY BUT IN 70%
WE ARE CONFUSED AND WEST THE TIME AND GET WRONG THING OUT
OF THE TECHNOLOGY
• TECHNOLOGY GROW IS GOOD FOR THE FUTURE AND HUMAN TENDENCY
BUT AT A ONE POINT ITS GROW SPEED AND TIME SLOW SO PEOPLE
MORE FAMILIAR WITH IT AND KNOW THE TECHNOLOGY HOW TO WORK
AND WHAT IS THE PROPER USE OF TECHNOLOGY SO NEXT GENERATION
IS GOOD FAMILIAR WITH THE TECHNOLOGY AND OUR CULTURE. SO AT
SOME POINT TECHNOLOGY KNOW THE CHILDREN BUT THEY KNOW OUR
CULTURE ALSO.
• AND I ALSO CLEAR I AM NOT OPPOSITE OF TECHNOLOGY. I OPPOSITE OF
THE BED THINGS DO OUR ALDERS AT SOME POINT OF TIME. LIKE THEY
PLAY HALL DAY RUMMY AND DEFFERENT GAMES AND USE SOME
CHEATING APPLICATION EXT…
MY VISION ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY WITH THE ARCHITECTURE
• WITH THE TECHNOLOGY. SOME WORK OF ARCHITECTURE IS EASILY
WORKED BUT SOME MENURSE AND DISCIPLINE RELATED TO THE DESIGN
OF BUILDING IS LEFT.
• FILLING OF THE DESIGN AND SPACE PERCEPTION WE CANT READY BY
AND TECHNICAL MEDIA OR DEVICES.
• WE ARE WORKING WITH TECHNOLOGY AFTER SERTAN LEVEL BUT AT
SOME POINT OF TIME WE ARE USE THE OUR OLD MEDIA LIKE WATER
COLOURE, SKETCHES, DOODLES, EXT...
• WITH TECHNOLOGY WE ARE MORE FLEXIBLE WITH DESIGN AND
ARCHITECTURE AND OUR STRUCTURE WE ARE DESIGN EASY AND IN LESS
TIME PERIOD.

Today businesses who have embraced technology have gained a competitive
advantage in the market, technology can improve efficiency. Let’s take a simple
example of a bakery using technology. If a bakery automates its production line
and installs temperature sensors and cooling facilities, it will deliver quality
products in time. These temperature sensors can be programmed so that they
send information to the operator and they find out when the room temperature
drops or increases. This saves the operator of the bakery time and risks.
But the use of technology should in limited way i.e. it should not harm or be
against people.
Hence the use of automated systems in a bakery will mean that manual labor will
be cut down which is a benefit to the business owner. But this will leave many
people who would have done this task jobless.
Also small bakeries which can’t afford this technology will be left out because
deploying these automated temperature sensors might be expensive for small
businesses. Which means they will not be in position to compete which might
also led to the collapse of the business and it will again result into loss of Jobs.
In relation to architecture, technology if provided to our client… they will come in
contact with new technologies and they can adapt to growing technologies in
modern world.
In the interview taken… and questions asked about the government planning to
build to smart cities, there point of view was that they should use technologies in
a limited way so that it does not overpower our normal life. For example use for
jammers in gardens as people come to spent time with each other… and also use
of mobile phone or any other electronic items for specific period of time.

Session -1 In the pros of networked environment.....
Networked Environment helps you access, intervene and keeps oneself updated . It has given
the biggest advantage of employment for outsourcing, it has made things and life easier and
smoother by consuming less of time - which has become a rarity to have it for oneself in
today's competitive world. If one is not receptive than a day will come when one will feel as if
he/she is lagging behind in the society because the demand is increasing day by day.
Session - 2
Networked Environment does not affect directly on Architecture but it makes a lot of
difference to clients. Clients now-a-days has their own demands and if the Architects don't
suffice their needs, then the Architect might loose the client. Everyone is becoming smarter,
being aware of a lot of technologies leading to of course development of the society and
nation but it also leads to critical thinking and finding new alternatives that suits one. Smart
buildings are not just buildings with new technologies but it should also allow new
amendments.
An overall brief
The term "Technology" is wide and everyone has their own way of understanding the meaning
of technology. We use technology to accomplish various tasks in our daily lives, in brief; we
can describe technology as products, processes or organizations. We use technology to extend
our abilities, and that makes people as the most important part of any technological system.
We apply technology in almost everything we do in our lives, we use technology at work , we
use it to , extract materials , we use technology for communication, transportation, learning,
manufacturing, creating artifacts , securing data ,scaling businesses and so much more.
Technology is human knowledge which involves tools, materials and systems. If technology is
well applied, it can benefit humans, but if it is wrongly applied, it can cause harm to human
beings.
As said above, technology is made by humans so only human should have control over
technology and not the vice versa of it. So if one says, he/she cannot be without technology
than its solely one's problem and not of technology. One must know how to use technology so
that it only acts as a service provider and not the controller.
There are ways to make technology be used effectively, like for example, public places should
have only certain sites accessible so that healthy discussions take place rather than one being
into oneself and killing the nature of a public space. Another example is like there are cyber
cafes there should be other cafes where authentic information are available and youngsters
are not diverted. Technology has become a boon for businessman because things have
become much easier for them. They can now send things faster and in a very easy manner,
print media, fax machine, various applications on mobiles have made their life much easier
than they thought during the advent of technology especially with the mobile phones.
A very basic survey was conducted at a vicinity level where I came across a varied age group.
This survey gave me an idea of how same technology acts differently for different age group.
The age group that I came across was Collegian, teenage, people with forty plus and their own
kids .The question that we asked was “Can you be without mobile phone for a day? If YES,
then, “What is the impact of technology on them and if NO then why no?” To this question the
Collegians replied, they cannot be without it even for a second because for them social apps ,
sharing their photographs and such other things were more important than anything else .The
family with the kids had two different viewpoints due to age difference. The elder people said
they can remain without mobile phones but they are very good for business purposes. They
now have an ease in their work pattern and have smarter solutions available due to
technology. When mobile phones were introduced, elderly people thought, "What will we do
with the mobile phones?”, but when they gave it a look, they found it a very facilitating device.
They say, "If we find people irritating or disturbing us, we block them." I found this approach
during survey with people in the adaptive phase. And natives responded "Technology as a
good teacher and not the one with whom they feel addicted to." Another group of college
students’ said they can be without phones only if they are busy with something else. For them
phone had become a language. For every small thing they used to call up and discuss or
convey any message.
What conclusion I have come upon is technology should be used in a smarter way such that it
ease our work and not strain our relations with human kind. Social apps are good for to remain
in contact with people who are far away but it should not be used such that you feel nervous
to talk in person.

SESSION 1
Due to rise in technology, things have become easier. Human Beings have
become self-dependent because earlier we were dependent on others for
information. Lot of labor work is being done in less time and more efficiently.
Communication has become easier.
SESSION 2
Use of Technology in smarter way in architecture can save lot of energy. Smarter
cities can make the life of people very systematic and civilized. Lot of artificial
calamities can be stopped with less destruction to properties and human being
due to smart city.
SESSION 3
Lot of discussion was being directed to the way humans have started misuse of
technology. There is no doubt that people cannot leave without technology even
a day, but the use of it must be done wisely and extremely. Use of Internet is 60%
a day by teenagers and cannot move out of their home without their cellphone.

ACCORDING TO ME, TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD.IT HELPS US IN MANY WAYS SUCH AS
IT CONNECTS US TO THE WORLD ON A CLICK.
SITTING ON ONE PLACE YOU CAN CONNECT AT ANY CORNER OF THE
WORLD.FIRST TECHNOLOGY CONTROLLED US BUT NOW WE CAN USE THE
TECHNOLOGY AT POINT OF TIME ANYWHERE.
FOR EXAMPLE, IN EARLY TIMES WE NEED TO SIT IN FRONT OF TELEVISION ON THE
BROACASTED TIME BUT NOW WE CAN SEE THE DESIRED PROGRAMME ON OUR
TIME.
ALSO IN NEWS BROADCASTS THE VIEWER IS CAN SEE THE REVIEWS OF OTHER
PEOPLE FROM ONE PLACE ALTHOUGH THE SPEAKER IS IN SOME OTHER COUNTRY
OR STATE.
THUS I BELIEVE TECHNOLOGY IS HELPING US TO MAKE A STATUS IN THE SOCIETY.
SESSION-2
IN THE SAME WAY, SMART BUILDING IS REALLY GOOD FOR OUR COUNTRY.ONCE
ME MAKE SUCH BUILDING PEOPLE WILL LIKE SOME OF THE TECHNOLOGIES AND
HENCE THEY CAN ADAPT IT.
IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR PEOPLE TO ADAPT BUT AT SOME POINT OF TIME, THEY
WILL ACCEPT IT AS BEFORE THERE WAS NO MOBILE PHONES BUT NOW THEY ARE
WITH EVERY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY.
PEOLPLE ADAPT TECHNOLOGY WHICH ARE CONVINENT TO THEM AND ARE
EASILY OPERATED.TEH THING IS THEY JUST NEED SOME TIME.
IF WE ONLY DON’T PROVIDE SUCH SMART BUILDING CONCEPT TO THEM THEN
HOW WILL THEY ADAPT THE TECHNOLOGY.
SO I WOULD DEFINITELY PROVIDE SMART BUILDING TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT
THEY COME TO KNOW ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGIES WHICH THEY GET AND CAN BE
EASILY WORKABLE IN DAY TO DAY LIFE.
SESSION-3
WHEN WE ENTERED IN THE GARDEN, EVERY ONE IN THE GARDEN STOPPED
THERE ACTIVICTIES AND LOOKED AT US.THEY REALLY GOT DISTURB FROM THERE
ACTIVITIES.
WHEN WE ASKED THE QUESTIONS TO THEM, MOST OF THE YOUNGSTERS
REPLIED THAT TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD AND THEY ARE HANDICAPPED IF THE
TECHNOLOGY IS TAKEN BACK FROM THEM.
OUR THREE QUSTION TO PUBLIC WAS 1) IS TECHNOLOGY EFFECTING ON THERE
DAY TO DAY LIFE. 2) HOW MUCH PERCENTAGE OF INTERNET THEY USE IN A DAY
3)CAN THEY LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY?
FOR THE ABOVE QUESTION THE YOUNGSTER REPLIED THAT YES THERE IS EFFECT
OF TECHNOLOGY ON THEM AND IN A DAY THEY USE 90-95% OF INTERNET AND
THEY CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY.BUT AT THE SAME TIME THE OLD
AGE PEOPLE REPLIED THAT THERE IS NO EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY ON THEM AND
THEY CAN LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY.
ON THE SUMMARY OF THIS I’LL SAY THAT NOW IN THE COMING FUTURE
YOUNGSTER ARE GOING TO LIVE THEIR LIFE ON BASED ON TECHNOLOGY.AND
THE OLD AGE PEOPLE WILLINGLY OR UNWILLINGLY WILL ADAPT IT.

SESSION:1
I think it is an individual stand to view technology as a position way as a negatives
way. Technology means, having knowledge about technology is not mean that
one has to stick it. Things are made easier in these times. And we should know
about current technology. So, technology occupies an important role in this
century and made life on earth much easier. And technology can help different
attitudes to family.
SESSION:2
The space should change with technology. As an architect one should do best to
make the building most suitable to the latest technology. The possibility of
including new technology to be included which will be invented in later future.
smart building are economic and less the construction cost. So, this type of
building slowly developing in INDIA.
SESSION:3
OUR THREE QUSTION TO PUBLIC WAS…
1) IS TECHNOLOGY EFFECTING ON THERE DAY TO DAY LIFE?
Yes=60% No=40%
2) HOW MUCH PERCENTAGE OF INTERNET THEY USE IN A DAY?
Av. 80%,55%,505,75%,……
3) CAN THEY LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY?
Yes=50% NO=50%
WHEN WE ENTERED IN THE GARDEN……
Every one stopped there activities and looked at us.
The youngsters replied that technology is good and old person replied technology
is not good because of their thinking.
And one man can asked it is totally vest of time.
And the old age people willingly or unwillingly will adapt it.
Time the old age people replied that there is no effect of technology on them and
they can live without the technology.

In this topic my point of view technology is time consuming and the best part of it
is helpful to search anything (like goggle),
Due to the technology our life style is become easy and simple. We have to use all
the technical things but any thing has its limit, if we use things I our use its
advantage of technology, and whenever we started use thing for misuse its
disadvantage of that particular thing.
TECHNOLOGY IN ARCHITECTURE
• Its time consuming... like in old time period built a building is take almost
years and years, but due to technology and machinery (like JCB, dupers
etc.)
• Building ready in short time period.
• And also helpful in create drawings in help of software and printers.
EXERCISE
In this exercise most of the people is with technology, they want to tell us that
technology is help full in our day to day life and make life easy, and also said that
thins things have individual perspective, they also agree with technology have
both side advantage

Session 1 :-
Technologies have overcome the older methods of connecting people , the
people used to communicate through visits , letters . But dug to technology ,Now
people do not get even time to meet others .But technology has helped a lot To
stay in touch with people and even saved time. So the whole debate was based
On Anti and Extreme of Technology.
Session 2 :-
This session was about on how you should use technology to its extreme .As
the world is growing ,so the use of technology should also increase as we are
future of the world and so we should use the technology to the maximum, so that
it saves our time and also we should learn about its use and management. We
discussed about virtual ,reality and virtual reality and real virtuality.
Session 3 :-
Networking technology is not only limited to mobiles, tv , etc but also in medical
science and technology. So its has a quite big role in the world .We should use the
technology in a good and proper way so that revolution takes place .Smart cities
are formed due to technology. One should not use technology in improper way or
should not misuse it.It should be used in productive way.
Session 4 :
One does not look at you if you are normal towards things. You need to be
different from others so that everyone looks at you and takes an interest in your
work. I did a survey and the young people told that they need something more
interesting than cell phones and if there is something more interesting then they
don’t need their cell phone. Old people told that cell phone is necessary but not
to that extent that we become dependent on that.
Over View :-
My perception has changed towards the networked environment. Now I look at
the buildings in a different way.

I think there should be an continuous flow of development or growth in
technology. I think development is inevitable because in any corner of world
there would be another mind who would get same idea and develop it. Due to
technology world is connected to each other.
Session 2
Due to technology in architecture people's standard of living is increased. Smart
gadgets are being developed and which is helpful to human beings in way or
another. It also saves many of the natural resources and human labor.
Conclusion
I think development is important but up to certain level. Use of technology in
excess also changes life style of human being.

• Now-a-day the people cannot leave without Technology , they addicted
by mobile phone , IPad , IPod , Computer etc. without all this things they
cannot push his business. Without social site they cannot get news what
happen in world.
• People should use Technology like services not like habits. In our life the
gadgets are like assets.
• In architecture the Technology should less used of cad and other software
maximum used of sketching and communication skill. Now-a-day there
are many technology invented in constructions. Due to this gadget the
interaction between people is less. They just talk in WhatsApp and phone
they explain design in phone and through E-mail.
• After all this things the people gets less time to work and eager to learn
new things in software .
For example
The time will come people will checked his own blood through mobile phones
No time for child caring

Session 1: Technology: pros or cons?
On the basis of today’s era. Technology is must, we can’t work out without
technology anywhere. In every bits and parts the technology is there. From
morning newspaper till the night news, we are so much addicted to that part we
are not realizing the situation besides us. But the misuse is also there as much as
useful. Every coin has 2 sides, same as every topic/invention/thing/human
life/natural thing has its good and bad effect. Technology has lead us to many
great invention in many fields but in many cases it has invented harmful machines
or invention as eg .nuclear bomb/missile. As the technology has increased the
more knowledge is increased, energy resources are protected, power
consumption came in limit. But on other side we are getting more dependent on
technology, without it we are feeling like handicapped. The solution for this only
is that one should control its use, one has to take stand on today’s era of
technology.
Session 2: Smart buildings in society:
Technology has reach us to that pick point where we can convert our dream in
reality. The big example for this is smart buildings in current world. Smart building
has provided so much of wide varieties of option which was not available in
masonry buildings. Smart buildings has provided small space but larger in
efficiency, less use of construction material, economic, efficient in power
consumption etc. If smart building is adapted by society then it will be very
helpful in many fields such as medical, research, business, education etc. it will
have its harmful sides but that can also be tackle.
Session 3: The survey:
People are more comfortable on side of using the technology that is spreading to
them. They have face problems in many situations and that time they were
suggesting that technology is not helpful. From this I had conclude that now a
day’s people have become impatience. First due to lack of advanced technology
people were patience. They were relaxed in such a way, for a waiting of reply. But
due to fast/instant/speedy era the people has use impatience for a seconds also.
If work delay for seconds that is not applicable. The world has created services for
micro seconds also, the precision has reached at that level. More, during survey
physical issues also came that basic human movement are disturbed and lead us
to harm of body. As a eg. If one gets food without working of body that will result
in weakness of body, which was not there in hard work. Also, the negative
aspects have increased, there are positive aspects of technology but negative are
seeing much in comparison to natives.
Due to which the relationship is getting certain…the warmth of relationship is
decreased. Moreover, the man power is reduced and business volume is
increased. Technology misuse is increased, the fraud is increased. The operating
risk is increased in many fields. The unknown friend is increased while known
friends are decreasing, due to which physical contacts are decreasing. Initially the
letters were used in which the system was there to write a letter to someone
means first we say, hello how are you? Etc etc. but now a days due to short cuts
the language has gone, the polite manner has gone. During survey many aspects
were seen that what are people thinking about the technology and in which
manner they want to respond. Generation gap was seen in survey, the natives
were in favor of technology but imminent were trying to get in use of it.

ON THE FIRST DAY,FROM THE DISCUSSION ON CURRENT SOCIETY AND EFFECTS
OF THE REVOLUTION IN TECHNOLOGY,IT ALWAYS DEPENDS ON PEOPLE THIS
REVOLUTION DOES MAKE DIFFERENCE TO THE LIFE STANDARD,IT IS ALWAYS OUR
CALL TO MAKE THINGS WISER FOR US.PEOPLE ARE GETTING USED TO NEW
TECHNOLOGY,SO FAST THAT THEY COULDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO TRY ANOTHER
WAYS TO DO THE REGULAR STUFF.I PERSONALLY FELT THAT TECHNOLOGY HAS
TO REACH PEOPLE BEYOND SOCIO-ECONOMIC BARRIERS.BUT PEOPLE OF THAT A
PERTICULAR SOCIETY HAVE TO BE THAT ADAPTIVE AND READY TO ACCEPT THE
EXPONENTIAL CHANGE IN THINGS .IF THEY ARE NOT READY FOR THE CHANGE
THEN ITS NO USE OF KEEP ON SPEEDEN UP TOWARDS NEW AND NEW WORLD OF
GADGETS.
ARCHITECTURE HAS BECAME SO MUCH CRUCIAL BECAUSE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL
IMPROVEMENT HAS ADDED A SPATIAL CHARACTERIAL VALUE TO THE TYPOLOGY
OF THIS MODERN WORLD.IN THE FIELD TO MAKE LIFESTYLE MORE
COMFORTABLE ,IN TERMS OF THE SERVICES, GADGETS, SAFETY, SUSTAINABILITY,
ENERGY EFFECIENCY & MANY MORE ADVANCED ASPECTS OF ARCHITECTURE.WE
CAN HAVE A NEW IDIAL WORLD
AS PER OUR NEED.WE CAN MAKE OUR LIVES MUCH MORE EASIER,HAPPY AND
CAN BE MORE SATIISFY WITH OUR SURROUNDINGS,IN SHORT BY THE USE OF
THIS GROWTH OF TECHNOLOGY WE CAN CREATE A BETTER HABITAT OF
OURSELVES AND THE NEXT GENERATION ON THE MOTHER EARTH.IT IS OUR ROLE
TO PROPOSE THE RIGHT SCALES AND PUT APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF
TECHNOLOGICAL STUFF ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE ,WHO ARE GOING TO USE IT.
FROM THE KINDA SOCIETY ENCOUNTER, THE ACT WE DID IN THE PARK OF PREM
MANDIR,I GOT TO KNOW THAT THE TECHNOLOGY EFFECTS ON THE PEOPLE
ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE.THE YOUNGSTERS(THE TEEN AGE )ARE HAVING THIS
TECHNOLGY AS THEIR IMPORTANT AND MENDETARY PART OF THE LIFE.SOME OF
THEM ARE SO MUCH ADDICTED THAT THEY COULDN’T EVEN THINK A DAY LIVING
WITH THEIR PHONES,THAT DEPENDENCY ON THIS TECHNOLOGY IS I THINK NOT
GOOD.THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN BETWEEN 40-50 YEARS AGE ,THEY ARE ADAPTED
IN A WAY THAT THEY ARE USING THESE TECHNOLOGY FOR GROWTH OF THEIR
PROFESSION AND MORE OF THAT WAY.THEY ARE USING THE THINGS AS MEANS
OF THEIR NEEDS,THEY UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REAL
HUMAN HAPPY LIFE AND COMPLETING THE HECTIC TASKS EASIER BY THE USE OF
THE NEW TECHNOLOGY.
THIS ELECTIVE WAS A QUITE EYE OPENER FOR ME.BECAUSE SOMETIMES WE
DON’T EVEN THINK THAT WHAT WE ARE ALREADY STARTED TO LOOSE,IN GREED
OF GAINING THE NEW VERSIONS OF TECHNICAL STUFF.I THINK WE SHOULD
KNOW HOW TO BALANACE OUR OWN LIFE BETWEEN THIS WAVE OF
REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY.THINGS ARE BECAME MORE EASIER THAT WE
CAN HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO DO WHAT WE LIKE PR WANTED TO DO SO FAR.
TECHNOLOGY IGIVES US OPPORTUNITY TO PUSH OUR LIMITS TOWARDS NEW
DIRECTIONS.WE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS NEW DIRECTION

Today if we look at the overall scenario of the society the speed at which the
technology and innovations are taking over the market is quite impressive. In
other words there is a rapid evolution. As rapid evolution is taking place and
people are taking less time to adapt and embrace the new innovations, a time
may come where this generation gap will be totally gone and the immigrants,
adaptive will no longer exist but everyone will be natives or millennials. And as we
say change is constant, so why not just adjust ourselves into the flow and look
forward to becoming advanced. If virtual spaces and networked spaces are about
to bring a vast change in the way we perceive a space then I think we should
really look forward to becoming tech-savvy. But the question is till what extent of
speed can the people cope up with such rapid advancement? The second
question is that how many people are equipped enough to operate digital
devices? I personally feel that compared to other countries India needs to buck
up in terms of adapting technology. But a counter debate occurs wherein the
natives spend most of their time using technology that inspite of being connected
they are not actually connected and they avoid themselves in engaging in other
conventional methods of live, work and play. But again it is a personal challenge
that to what extent do we allow technology to enter or lives. I think that we are
moving with a great speed and this should not stop and more and more
innovations and technologies should be adapted by us as soon as possible.
When we interacted with other people on the topic wherein we asked them that
nowadays everything is possible on our mobile phones then why do we need
public places like malls or gardens, then we got an answer that we need such
places for social refreshment and in order to get away from our blocked life.
Technology is alright for very busy people who don’t have even a minute to spare
but for most of the common people public places hold importance even as a
source of time pass and enjoyment.
When we think about the concept of smart city and the hi-tech technologies that
are being invented and put in use then I don’t see a reason why we should devoid
ourselves from adapting and embracing those technologies. If we consider the life
of smart cities it has many pros which are promising in a way that we will be more
safer and things would be more convenient to us. So if we convince our clients
with the safety factor then maybe they would adapt the idea of a smart city and
its concepts.
The common view of people is that technology should come no matter what but
first of all we need to treat human mind and man power. There should be a kind
of human discipline. There is much manpower in India than any other country but
we need technologies which can employ this man power. But this technology will
affect us at a later stage physically. This fast technology is creating socially
economic unbalance. So there is a need to think for the overall race of
humankind.

TODAY USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS WE CAN SAY PROBLEM OR BLASS I THINK IT HAVE
BOTH SIDE AS A COIN. I THINK USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS MORE HELP FULL TO US.
OUR KNOLADGE LEVEL INCRAGE BECOUSE OF TECHNOLOGY LIFE CAN BE EASY BY
USEING TECHNOLOGY.
BUT USE OF TECHNOLOGY SHOUD IN LIMITED WAY I.E. IT SHOUD NOT HARM OR
BE AGAINST PEOPLE. ITS UP TO US SHOUD I USE OR NOT.AS MY POIT OF VIEW
USE OF TECHNOLOGY OR MACHIN IS USE FUUL FOR ME BUT SAME TECHNOLOGY
OR MACHIN IS NOT USE FULL OR LESS USE FULL ITS ON OUR INDIVISUAL LET’S
TAKE A SIMPLE EXAMPLE OF A CLOTH FACTORY. AT THAT TIME WE USE CLOTH IS
A MACHIN PRODECT SO ITS QUALITY IS EQUAL SAME COLOUE AND LESS
DEFACTIV SO USE OF TECHNOLOGY GIVE US PRODECT IN GOOD QUALITY IN
EARLY TIME THERE WAS NO MACHIN WE MAKE CLOTH BY HAND SO PRODECT IS
MORE DEFECTIVE IT TAKE TOO MUCH TIME TO COMPLATE AND MORE HUMAN
AFFORD BUT NOW IT IS EASY MAIN IT TAKE LESS TIME AND LESS HUMAN AFFORD
AND MORE QUANTITY. SO IT GOOD FOR OWNER OF THE FACTORY BUT LESS
HUMAN AFFOD SO IT TAKE MANY PEOPLE’S JOB SO NOT GOOD FOR THAT
PEOPLE. SO, EITHER WE PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY TO CUSTOMER OR WE SAVE
MORE PEOPLE’S JOB. SO DESIGION IS ONLY ON OUR MIND WHAT TO DO. SHOUD
USE TECHNOLOGY OR NOT IF YES SO HOW TO USE MEANS AT WHAT LEVEL WE
USE.
NOW IN ARCHITECTURE AT THAT TIME MANY MORDEN BUILDING CONSTRUCT.
IT IS VERY USE FULL AT SOME POINT OF VIEW. IF WE PROVIDE PEOPLE DEFINATLY
USE LIKE OTHER TECHNOLOGY SOME PEOPLE AVOID THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY
BUT AT LONG TIME MOST OF PEOPLE USE THEY WILL ADAPT THE TECHNOLOGY
OF MORDEN WORLD.
IN INTERVIEW TAKEN AND QUESTIONS ASKED ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
PLANNING TO BUILT TO SMART CITIES SOME OF THEM SHOUD USE
TECHNOLOGIES SOME OF THAT SAY WE ARE LIVING HEAR SO WHY WE BUILT
MORDEN CITY BUT MOST OF THEM SAY THEY ADAPT TECHNOLOGY BUT IN A
LIMITED WAY SO THAT IT NOT OVERPOWER OUR NORMAL LIFE. FOR EXAMPLE
WE GO ANY WHER IN CITY LIKE IN MALL OR RAILWAYSTATIN MOST OF PEOPLE
USE THEIR PHONE OR IPAD THEY NOT ENJOY PLACE AT THAT TIME. SO IT CALLED
OVER USE OF TECHNOLOGY. IT IS HARMFULL FOR US SO WE AVOID OVER USE OF
TECHNOLOGY IN MORDEN SMART CITIES THEN DEFINATLY IT WORKS PEOPLE
ADAPT EASLY IF NOT AVOID PEOPLE ADAPT THAT IF WE PROVIDE BUT IT HAS
MORE HARMFULL EFFECTS LIKE SIDEFFECTS. SO, USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS NOT
BAD BUT IT HAS LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME TO USE THAT THINGS SO IT AGAIN
DEPAND ON OURS.

PART 1 :
What about technology? When technologies are not more then present time in industries, there were more workers worked in factories. but when technology were
increase and increase , more workers were being unemployed. so poor people scale is increase. these problems are affect in human cycle. human health cycle is also break ,
a people who worked in that field became unemployed. many people have health issues. so that kind of people are went to extra health care center. And spend extra time
for health care.
PART 2 :
In architecture we have much technology to apply in buildings but i personally belive that if we can use more technologies in buildings.....
people are being lazy, and also spend more money on that... it is also effect on sustainability. so we have to avoid more technology in buildings.
PART 3 :
In last part i have great experience for field. it was so nicely done,
we go to love temple for getting common people review. we are dressed very funny and attracting so people are happy and they are convincing for answers. Personally i
like that idea very much.

Session 1
Every technology or invention is because of one's need and betterment of life.
Thus it should be seen and used similarly. "Technology is an asset, and not a
liability!"
Session 2
In the field of architecture as an architect it is our role to take technology in
consideration as we also work to make lives of others easy. So in a building one
should consider keeping and including latest technology and also make it versatile
that technology that will be invented later can be added in the building without
hindering its function and use.
Session 3
The field trip made me aware of how people look at technology and use them in
various ways. How different people look at the concept of smart cities and how
limited use of technology is a necessity! Some people also considering it as an
addiction and need of psychiatrist were also told! And also learned how can
grabbing the attention is prone to getting honest answers from the public!

Technology has brought about a revolution in the modern world. It has made our
lives easy and fast. Technology has a made the world a global village.
Most kids these days don't even know how to use a dictionary because " Google
has it all" so they don't see it as a necessary skill. Look around at how many
people are engrossed in their phones walking down the street, or while driving.
Most accidents are caused by people using their phones while driving, whether it
be for GPS, to get on Facebook or anything else. It's insane for some people to
fathom how anyone ever lived without texting, GPS, and Google. Technology is a
big help and a big problem.
We also have advanced machines to perform various operations. Just by sitting in
our room we can see a person and speak to our near and dear ones, no matter
how far they are.
Now let us look into the disadvantages. Technology has made man machine
addicted. All these things make us lazy. Children are addicted to games on phones
and laptops. They have stopped playing outside. All these things make us lazy.
Children are addicted to games on phones and laptops. They have stopped

I FEEL TECHNOLOGY IS OVERPOWER ON HUMAN LIFE.IT IS FOR COMFORT IN
DAILY LIFE .BUT NOW A DAYS PEOPLE ARE USE TCHNOLOGY WITHOUT PURPOSE
ALSO . LIKE THEY ARE MORE INVOLVED IN VIRTUAL WORLD .THAN OF PHYSICAL
WORLD.SO IT IS VERY BAD EFFECT ON MAN KIND.THERE IS NO TIME FOR
OURSELF.
SMART CITY/BUILDING IS TAGGED BECAUSE OF SOME TECHNOLOGY IN IT FOR
HUMAN COMFORT SO TECHNOLOGY IS COMES AFTER SOME PHYSICAL
STRUCTURE.SO I CONSIDER TECHNOLOGY AS A SERVICE PART AND TECHNOLOGY
IS EVOLVED SPEEDLY BY TIME .SO I CAN RESPOND TECHNOLOGY DESIGN BUILDIN
BY CONSIDER SUCH ASPECTS OF TECHNOLOGY AS A SERVICES AND ITS CHANGES .
ON FIELD EXPERIENCE IS GOOD.FIRST I BAECAME CONFIDENT AND SHYLESS.ON
FIELD WE REVIEW FROM YOUNGSTER TO AGED PERSON.AND THEY ARE
CURRUIOUS ABOUT US BECAUSE OF OUR DRESSING AND MOVEMENTS .AND OF
60% ARE ADAPTIVE AND NATIVES.ACCORDING TO THEM TECHNOLOGY IS VERY
IMPORTANT IN THERE LIFE MOST OF THEM IS LIABLE ON TECHNOLOGY.AND
ACCORDING TO THEM THERE SHOULD BE WAY OF STOP MISSUSE OF
TECHNOLGY.AND THERE ARE ALSO ACCEPT NEW REVOLUTION IN
TECHNOLOGY.BUT SOME NEEDS TO DECREASES THE SPEED OF REVOLUTIONIN
TECHNOLOGY. SO OVERALL IS GOOD EXPEREINCE AND INFORMATIVE ON

I am with both pro and anti-technology. Because it’s all necessary to be with the
new but to remember the old too
It is up to one that if he wants there life to be technical or not.
And about the children that we are talking they can be taught to do the right
because all they learn is what elders do.
2nd session
To me architecture we have now is what we need now according to the technical
atmosphere…!
But when we are going to progress in the technology we have, we obviously need
to have the most updated version of building.
In this also i say it depends on the person who is going to use it an even who is
going to make it.
3rd session
We have met different aged people and asked them about the technology an
buildings now and what they want in next years.
The answers were not very different.
There were people who said they don’t want to use these technology but they
can’t survive in this technical world .that is true because if we release Devanand’s
movie today its not going to work out that much as Salman khan’s movie does…!
Some of them said that they were just using what was necessary not more than
that and they want to continue it.
Children said that there are different fun in both virtual and real games.
After all this i can’t come to a stand that what am i going to do about this topic in
future .
I think i will be able to take a stand after i practice much more.

Should we have to be pro-tech OR why we should be pro-tech give logical
reasons ? ?
There was one sentence in one of the videos that “whoever adapt quickly, will be
a part of evolution”. I think that using of technology is totally individual approach.
It is upon us to save time or waste time behind these technologies. I will take
stand to use these technologies to some limit. Using of technologies has to under
control under us. I think that every person has to become digital adaptive.
Should we use this technologies in this field of architecture…..??
By using these technologies in building and at city level security will become very
good and crime and traffic will reduce. We will feel safer at any time. Efforts and
time consumption will reduce.
Survey at garden – About using of technologies…..
We did one survey at public garden; we asked young generation and also aged
people. They both had told us that technology has to come in all sense but with
some limitations. Aged people had told us that in India if we brought high
technologies the issue of less employment will definitely arises. So keep that issue
in mind we should bring up technologies. Some younger generation people had
told us that it is good that by just clicking we can shop, pay bills etc.. and it should
improve also. They also had told us that these virtual media is very good in all
sense but it is true that now a days we are miss using it.

Is technology adaption is good for our life???
I think it is an individual stand to decide technology as positive way or a negative
way. I am with technology, I personally mean that to have its knowledge. I would
helpful in an individually and when we are discussing about it in a group. It would
also helpful when we are working with it. In today’s life one should have the
knowledge about it otherwise this society or friends will point us and says “don’t
know such simple things.” One should have the knowledge about it for that one
should have to adapt it.
Should we use these technology in all place??? Especially in architecture???
We know that technology changes by the initial period to the present one. And
how it has increasing the development in every field such as, manufacturing,
educational, agriculture, communication, business, health care. As well as use of
internet makes us life very simpler. We can access internet at any place even we
can communicate with people at any place of the world. For example we can
shop online, we can get any information, we can downloads pictures, movies,
software, videos that are very useful in our career.
If I looked at it in a positive way then this technology has a positive characteristic.
I know that it also has a negative characteristic but I am not focusing on it.
Another positive things is that due to such technology our life is more
safe/secure. So that we also using it in a architecture. Due such incorporation of
technology with architecture makes architecture more innovated and ease. As we
know that in ancient period construction of buildings consumes more time but
now a days construction is rapid and ease.
Such buildings that we are visit usually like ATMs, signal towers, commercial
complex, shops, Petrol pumps. We all are in the surveillance of CCTV cameras that
gadgets keeps recording activities and that save our life from fatal accidents and
also helpful in resolving cases. Due to mobile phone one can get our location in a
situation when we are in danger.
So I think that technology touches each and every facet of our lives with the
application of technology, critical and time-consuming processes can be executed
with ease and in less time. They save human efforts and time to a great extent
and make life easy and comfortable.
“Survey about technology and internet use at garden.”
We had asked the questions related technology and internet and we get the
answer from two type of people. Millennial (digital native) and aged (digital
immigrants).
Digital native :- technology is good we all have to use and get our self-updated
with it. And if everything is can be done by a mobile at home only then we don’t
need to go anywhere. And about access use of mobile one should have the own
limits of usage beyond this not to use.
Digital immigrants :- technology is good it should develop and we also updated
with it but should not use in every place like for shopping, bill payment, etc. one
should go because they said that “ bill bharvano to anand j alag hoi.” And about
phone: - it is a gadget having good features. But it should not to be given under
aged children. They will misuses it. But after maturity it is good to have it.
Children and everybody should updated with the knowledge of technology it is
helpful.

IN FIRST SESSION WE SAW THE RATE OF DEVELOPMENT IN TECHNOLOGY AND
FURTHER HOW IT IS GOING TO DEVELOP. IN A WAY IF WE SEE TOWARDS
TECHNOLOGY CONSTRUCTIVELY THEN IT IS BEST WAY TO GET DEVELOP BUT IT
IS AS MUCH DESTRUCTIVE AS IT IS HELPFUL IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIFE. IF WE
SEE IT IN A CONSTRUCTIVE WAY THEN WE CAN VISIT ANY PLACE OF THE
WORLD JUST SITTING AT ONE PLACE BUT IF WE SEE IT IN A DESTRUCTIVE
WAY THAN IT ALSO AFFECTS OUR DAY TOO DAY LIFE .
SESSION 2
IN SESSION AFTER THE LUNCH I SAW SMART HOUSE WHICH WAS VERY
INSPIRING FOR ME AS AN ARCHITECT . THE SMART HOUSE IS THE FUTURE
OF ARCHITECTURE IN A WAY AS IT IS VERY EXPENCIVE BUT IT ALSO SAVES
OUR MOST OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND HUMAN LOBOUR.
INTERVIEW IN GARDEN
IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE TO FIRST CATCH THEIR ATTENSION BY
PERFORMING SOME EYE-CATCHING ACTIVITY AND THEN INTERVIEWING
THEM WITH SOME OF OUR QUESTIONS REGARDING TECHNOLOGY AND
ALSO WE GOT ALMOST EVERY ANSWER TO OUR QUESTIONS DUE TOO
THEIR CO-OPERATION.

  • 4. Amit Fataniya The elective on networked environment was a different experience for me to think about architecture and technology together. After all the sessions and doing an exercise, my perspective is that at some point, technology decreases the quality of joy. For example, we wait to play video games in summer vacations, but today, we know that we can play many games in our cellphones itself at anytime, anywhere. So, it’s the one thing. Second, it’s disconnecting people who are near to us and connecting people who far away. Also, at some point, we are mixing our personal and professional life due to this. One thing I liked about this while discussion that we should see the technology as services of architecture which helps it to extend its experiential quality. For example, if we take this as a security purpose, we should aware of it that it can be using from good and bad both ways. (Stop crime and/or increases the crime) After having reviews from people about pros and cones of technology, the conclusion of it came that technology is not bad and we should introduce it to our new generations, because it is what they have to live with. But we also have to see that they don’t get dependent on it. We should show them proper way to use it. We all know that everything have positives and negatives, it’s like two sides of a single coin. But have to take a stand and it is that, it’s good. But we should make sure that how we use it. • 5. Binal Keradiya Basically, there is a development in technology due to the human needs and to make human life easy. The evolution rate of the technology is exponentially increasing with time. I think development and advancement in technology must not be extreme, it must be beneficial not fatal. This increase in rate clearly suggests that it will lead us to a better and smarter world. Each and every generation want to know and learn the technology so as they are not left behind. The adaptability time must be flexible so that every generation stays with the technology. Acceptance of a particular technology depends on its advantages and most of all the economy of a particular country. For example in our country India, acceptance and the adaptation of a particular technology depends whether it is economical or not because the country having the second highest population in the world has a larger power with its people therefore in relation to the economy. Sometimes there is an issue related to the spread and awareness of the new technology for example today i7 processor is latest as it gives speed while most of the people still uses Pentium or i3 processor. This also again depends on whether it is economical or not. Thus I think the evolution rate of the technology and advancement must be moderate so that people can adapt that with the time period. The other topic is about the idea of having a smart city. I think that a smart building minimalizes human effort. In relation to the architecture I think technology must be incorporated into design. For example the house in Berlin is perfect if looked in terms of technology and its self-efficiency. That house can be called an independent house as it generates its own electricity through the solar panels and facilitates one with everything one requires. Taking energy from a very raw source and converting and storing it, making its best possible use. Thus energy losses in the electricity transmission can be almost stopped. Things are becoming compact with larger capacities and capabilities. Systems are becoming smarter and safer. Thus incorporation of technology must be there but its priority depends on individual. • 6. Chani Shah Nowadays technology has become an inseparable part of our lives. Everybody makes use of it in one way or the other. Technology has its advantages and disadvantages. One should be able to make the difference when to stop using it and how to use it wisely only when needed. We should make use of it but it should not over power our life. People are becoming lazier and it is affecting their health. People has become so dependent on the technology that they don’t even bother to think or work by themselves when needed. Technology in architecture plays the similar role. There are advantages and disadvantages for architecture. Introduction of technology to architecture has killed the old traditional values and vernacular architectural practices. Due to technology, in Indian it has also affected the employment of the people. Example, earlier people use to keep watchmen or gate keepers who would open the door when needed but since the introduction of CCTV cameras, or sensor doors, people are not needed. Also the use of technology in architecture is affecting the climate as well. The introduction of glass facades, possible only because of technology, has resulted in global warming in a large scale. Talking about the last exercise we did, I really loved the idea that if you want to know people’s idea on something, you should do something bizarre and they will come to you up front and start talking. When we asked people about their opinions in the park, on the use of technology and our behavior due to it in the society, 70% of people said that it is beneficial as well as harmful for their lives. They said that it connects them to their distant relatives and makes their life easier but sometimes they get carried away because of that and also mentioned some health related issues. Some said that it is very harmful for children. But what I noticed is that when we asked elderly people, they could speak about the harmful as well positive effects of it, but when I asked the teenagers, they couldn’t speak much about it. I think that they have accepted the use of technology fully in their lives and are not ready to let go of it. I personally feel that one should use technology only when needed and then rest of the time they should use for themselves, spend time with nature, people, explore things and do what they love and aspire their dreams. • 7. Chirag Rank • I AM OPPOSITE OF TECHNOLOGY IN SESON-1. I AM USE THE TECHNOLOGY BUT AT A ONE POINT I AM STOP. • TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD BUT ITS HABIT VERY BED THING FOR HUMAN NATURE. • LIKE SOME ANDROID PHONE. PHONE IS GOOD ITS CONNECT TO EVERY ONE DEFFERENT PLACES AT ONE TIME. BUT WE ARE USE THIS KIND OF DEVICES LIKE 8HR-10HR. AND FOR THIS REASON NEXT GENERATION WATCHING AND THEY ARE USE THE TECHNOLOGY IN GOOD MANORS OR BED MANORS • BY THE USE THE TECHNOLOGY WE LEFT OUR MANORS AND ALSO DEPEND ON US WHAT WE GET OUT OF THE TECHNOLOGY BUT IN 70% WE ARE CONFUSED AND WEST THE TIME AND GET WRONG THING OUT OF THE TECHNOLOGY • TECHNOLOGY GROW IS GOOD FOR THE FUTURE AND HUMAN TENDENCY BUT AT A ONE POINT ITS GROW SPEED AND TIME SLOW SO PEOPLE MORE FAMILIAR WITH IT AND KNOW THE TECHNOLOGY HOW TO WORK AND WHAT IS THE PROPER USE OF TECHNOLOGY SO NEXT GENERATION IS GOOD FAMILIAR WITH THE TECHNOLOGY AND OUR CULTURE. SO AT SOME POINT TECHNOLOGY KNOW THE CHILDREN BUT THEY KNOW OUR CULTURE ALSO. • AND I ALSO CLEAR I AM NOT OPPOSITE OF TECHNOLOGY. I OPPOSITE OF THE BED THINGS DO OUR ALDERS AT SOME POINT OF TIME. LIKE THEY PLAY HALL DAY RUMMY AND DEFFERENT GAMES AND USE SOME CHEATING APPLICATION EXT… MY VISION ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY WITH THE ARCHITECTURE • WITH THE TECHNOLOGY. SOME WORK OF ARCHITECTURE IS EASILY WORKED BUT SOME MENURSE AND DISCIPLINE RELATED TO THE DESIGN OF BUILDING IS LEFT. • FILLING OF THE DESIGN AND SPACE PERCEPTION WE CANT READY BY AND TECHNICAL MEDIA OR DEVICES. • WE ARE WORKING WITH TECHNOLOGY AFTER SERTAN LEVEL BUT AT SOME POINT OF TIME WE ARE USE THE OUR OLD MEDIA LIKE WATER COLOURE, SKETCHES, DOODLES, EXT... • WITH TECHNOLOGY WE ARE MORE FLEXIBLE WITH DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE AND OUR STRUCTURE WE ARE DESIGN EASY AND IN LESS TIME PERIOD. • 8. Deep Parsana Today businesses who have embraced technology have gained a competitive advantage in the market, technology can improve efficiency. Let’s take a simple example of a bakery using technology. If a bakery automates its production line and installs temperature sensors and cooling facilities, it will deliver quality products in time. These temperature sensors can be programmed so that they send information to the operator and they find out when the room temperature drops or increases. This saves the operator of the bakery time and risks. But the use of technology should in limited way i.e. it should not harm or be against people. Hence the use of automated systems in a bakery will mean that manual labor will be cut down which is a benefit to the business owner. But this will leave many people who would have done this task jobless. Also small bakeries which can’t afford this technology will be left out because deploying these automated temperature sensors might be expensive for small businesses. Which means they will not be in position to compete which might also led to the collapse of the business and it will again result into loss of Jobs. In relation to architecture, technology if provided to our client… they will come in contact with new technologies and they can adapt to growing technologies in modern world. In the interview taken… and questions asked about the government planning to build to smart cities, there point of view was that they should use technologies in a limited way so that it does not overpower our normal life. For example use for jammers in gardens as people come to spent time with each other… and also use of mobile phone or any other electronic items for specific period of time. • 9. Disha Popat Session -1 In the pros of networked environment..... Networked Environment helps you access, intervene and keeps oneself updated . It has given the biggest advantage of employment for outsourcing, it has made things and life easier and smoother by consuming less of time - which has become a rarity to have it for oneself in today's competitive world. If one is not receptive than a day will come when one will feel as if he/she is lagging behind in the society because the demand is increasing day by day. Session - 2 Networked Environment does not affect directly on Architecture but it makes a lot of difference to clients. Clients now-a-days has their own demands and if the Architects don't suffice their needs, then the Architect might loose the client. Everyone is becoming smarter, being aware of a lot of technologies leading to of course development of the society and nation but it also leads to critical thinking and finding new alternatives that suits one. Smart buildings are not just buildings with new technologies but it should also allow new amendments. An overall brief The term "Technology" is wide and everyone has their own way of understanding the meaning of technology. We use technology to accomplish various tasks in our daily lives, in brief; we can describe technology as products, processes or organizations. We use technology to extend our abilities, and that makes people as the most important part of any technological system. We apply technology in almost everything we do in our lives, we use technology at work , we use it to , extract materials , we use technology for communication, transportation, learning, manufacturing, creating artifacts , securing data ,scaling businesses and so much more. Technology is human knowledge which involves tools, materials and systems. If technology is well applied, it can benefit humans, but if it is wrongly applied, it can cause harm to human beings. As said above, technology is made by humans so only human should have control over technology and not the vice versa of it. So if one says, he/she cannot be without technology than its solely one's problem and not of technology. One must know how to use technology so that it only acts as a service provider and not the controller. There are ways to make technology be used effectively, like for example, public places should have only certain sites accessible so that healthy discussions take place rather than one being into oneself and killing the nature of a public space. Another example is like there are cyber cafes there should be other cafes where authentic information are available and youngsters are not diverted. Technology has become a boon for businessman because things have become much easier for them. They can now send things faster and in a very easy manner, print media, fax machine, various applications on mobiles have made their life much easier than they thought during the advent of technology especially with the mobile phones. A very basic survey was conducted at a vicinity level where I came across a varied age group. This survey gave me an idea of how same technology acts differently for different age group. The age group that I came across was Collegian, teenage, people with forty plus and their own kids .The question that we asked was “Can you be without mobile phone for a day? If YES, then, “What is the impact of technology on them and if NO then why no?” To this question the Collegians replied, they cannot be without it even for a second because for them social apps , sharing their photographs and such other things were more important than anything else .The family with the kids had two different viewpoints due to age difference. The elder people said they can remain without mobile phones but they are very good for business purposes. They now have an ease in their work pattern and have smarter solutions available due to technology. When mobile phones were introduced, elderly people thought, "What will we do with the mobile phones?”, but when they gave it a look, they found it a very facilitating device. They say, "If we find people irritating or disturbing us, we block them." I found this approach during survey with people in the adaptive phase. And natives responded "Technology as a good teacher and not the one with whom they feel addicted to." Another group of college students’ said they can be without phones only if they are busy with something else. For them phone had become a language. For every small thing they used to call up and discuss or convey any message. What conclusion I have come upon is technology should be used in a smarter way such that it ease our work and not strain our relations with human kind. Social apps are good for to remain in contact with people who are far away but it should not be used such that you feel nervous to talk in person. • 10. Divya Rokad SESSION 1 Due to rise in technology, things have become easier. Human Beings have become self-dependent because earlier we were dependent on others for information. Lot of labor work is being done in less time and more efficiently. Communication has become easier. SESSION 2 Use of Technology in smarter way in architecture can save lot of energy. Smarter cities can make the life of people very systematic and civilized. Lot of artificial calamities can be stopped with less destruction to properties and human being due to smart city. SESSION 3 Lot of discussion was being directed to the way humans have started misuse of technology. There is no doubt that people cannot leave without technology even a day, but the use of it must be done wisely and extremely. Use of Internet is 60% a day by teenagers and cannot move out of their home without their cellphone. • 11. Gurpreet Kaur Sabarwal SESSION-1 ACCORDING TO ME, TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD.IT HELPS US IN MANY WAYS SUCH AS IT CONNECTS US TO THE WORLD ON A CLICK. SITTING ON ONE PLACE YOU CAN CONNECT AT ANY CORNER OF THE WORLD.FIRST TECHNOLOGY CONTROLLED US BUT NOW WE CAN USE THE TECHNOLOGY AT POINT OF TIME ANYWHERE. FOR EXAMPLE, IN EARLY TIMES WE NEED TO SIT IN FRONT OF TELEVISION ON THE BROACASTED TIME BUT NOW WE CAN SEE THE DESIRED PROGRAMME ON OUR TIME. ALSO IN NEWS BROADCASTS THE VIEWER IS CAN SEE THE REVIEWS OF OTHER PEOPLE FROM ONE PLACE ALTHOUGH THE SPEAKER IS IN SOME OTHER COUNTRY OR STATE. THUS I BELIEVE TECHNOLOGY IS HELPING US TO MAKE A STATUS IN THE SOCIETY. SESSION-2 IN THE SAME WAY, SMART BUILDING IS REALLY GOOD FOR OUR COUNTRY.ONCE ME MAKE SUCH BUILDING PEOPLE WILL LIKE SOME OF THE TECHNOLOGIES AND HENCE THEY CAN ADAPT IT. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR PEOPLE TO ADAPT BUT AT SOME POINT OF TIME, THEY WILL ACCEPT IT AS BEFORE THERE WAS NO MOBILE PHONES BUT NOW THEY ARE WITH EVERY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY. PEOLPLE ADAPT TECHNOLOGY WHICH ARE CONVINENT TO THEM AND ARE EASILY OPERATED.TEH THING IS THEY JUST NEED SOME TIME. IF WE ONLY DON’T PROVIDE SUCH SMART BUILDING CONCEPT TO THEM THEN HOW WILL THEY ADAPT THE TECHNOLOGY. SO I WOULD DEFINITELY PROVIDE SMART BUILDING TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY COME TO KNOW ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGIES WHICH THEY GET AND CAN BE EASILY WORKABLE IN DAY TO DAY LIFE. SESSION-3 WHEN WE ENTERED IN THE GARDEN, EVERY ONE IN THE GARDEN STOPPED THERE ACTIVICTIES AND LOOKED AT US.THEY REALLY GOT DISTURB FROM THERE ACTIVITIES. WHEN WE ASKED THE QUESTIONS TO THEM, MOST OF THE YOUNGSTERS REPLIED THAT TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD AND THEY ARE HANDICAPPED IF THE TECHNOLOGY IS TAKEN BACK FROM THEM. OUR THREE QUSTION TO PUBLIC WAS 1) IS TECHNOLOGY EFFECTING ON THERE DAY TO DAY LIFE. 2) HOW MUCH PERCENTAGE OF INTERNET THEY USE IN A DAY 3)CAN THEY LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY? FOR THE ABOVE QUESTION THE YOUNGSTER REPLIED THAT YES THERE IS EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY ON THEM AND IN A DAY THEY USE 90-95% OF INTERNET AND THEY CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY.BUT AT THE SAME TIME THE OLD AGE PEOPLE REPLIED THAT THERE IS NO EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY ON THEM AND THEY CAN LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY. ON THE SUMMARY OF THIS I’LL SAY THAT NOW IN THE COMING FUTURE YOUNGSTER ARE GOING TO LIVE THEIR LIFE ON BASED ON TECHNOLOGY.AND THE OLD AGE PEOPLE WILLINGLY OR UNWILLINGLY WILL ADAPT IT. • 12. Hetali Mansata SESSION:1 I think it is an individual stand to view technology as a position way as a negatives way. Technology means, having knowledge about technology is not mean that one has to stick it. Things are made easier in these times. And we should know about current technology. So, technology occupies an important role in this century and made life on earth much easier. And technology can help different attitudes to family. SESSION:2 The space should change with technology. As an architect one should do best to make the building most suitable to the latest technology. The possibility of including new technology to be included which will be invented in later future. smart building are economic and less the construction cost. So, this type of building slowly developing in INDIA. SESSION:3 OUR THREE QUSTION TO PUBLIC WAS… 1) IS TECHNOLOGY EFFECTING ON THERE DAY TO DAY LIFE? Yes=60% No=40% 2) HOW MUCH PERCENTAGE OF INTERNET THEY USE IN A DAY? Av. 80%,55%,505,75%,…… 3) CAN THEY LIVE WITHOUT THE TECHNOLOGY? Yes=50% NO=50% WHEN WE ENTERED IN THE GARDEN…… Every one stopped there activities and looked at us. The youngsters replied that technology is good and old person replied technology is not good because of their thinking. And one man can asked it is totally vest of time. And the old age people willingly or unwillingly will adapt it. Time the old age people replied that there is no effect of technology on them and they can live without the technology. • 13. Hitexa Parmar In this topic my point of view technology is time consuming and the best part of it is helpful to search anything (like goggle), Due to the technology our life style is become easy and simple. We have to use all the technical things but any thing has its limit, if we use things I our use its advantage of technology, and whenever we started use thing for misuse its disadvantage of that particular thing. TECHNOLOGY IN ARCHITECTURE • Its time consuming... like in old time period built a building is take almost years and years, but due to technology and machinery (like JCB, dupers etc.) • Building ready in short time period. • And also helpful in create drawings in help of software and printers. EXERCISE In this exercise most of the people is with technology, they want to tell us that technology is help full in our day to day life and make life easy, and also said that thins things have individual perspective, they also agree with technology have both side advantage Networked Environments Topic : Socio- Spatial Aspects of ICTs in Built Environment On : 03-04/01/2015 At : IPSA, Rajkot Students : 06-08 Semester 10
  • 14. Honey Shah Session 1 :- Technologies have overcome the older methods of connecting people , the people used to communicate through visits , letters . But dug to technology ,Now people do not get even time to meet others .But technology has helped a lot To stay in touch with people and even saved time. So the whole debate was based On Anti and Extreme of Technology. Session 2 :- This session was about on how you should use technology to its extreme .As the world is growing ,so the use of technology should also increase as we are future of the world and so we should use the technology to the maximum, so that it saves our time and also we should learn about its use and management. We discussed about virtual ,reality and virtual reality and real virtuality. Session 3 :- Networking technology is not only limited to mobiles, tv , etc but also in medical science and technology. So its has a quite big role in the world .We should use the technology in a good and proper way so that revolution takes place .Smart cities are formed due to technology. One should not use technology in improper way or should not misuse it.It should be used in productive way. Session 4 : One does not look at you if you are normal towards things. You need to be different from others so that everyone looks at you and takes an interest in your work. I did a survey and the young people told that they need something more interesting than cell phones and if there is something more interesting then they don’t need their cell phone. Old people told that cell phone is necessary but not to that extent that we become dependent on that. Over View :- My perception has changed towards the networked environment. Now I look at the buildings in a different way. Networked Environments Topic : Socio- Spatial Aspects of ICTs in Built Environment On : 03-04/01/2015 At : IPSA, Rajkot Students : 06-08 Semester 11
  • 15. Jaydeep Gajera Session 1 I think there should be an continuous flow of development or growth in technology. I think development is inevitable because in any corner of world there would be another mind who would get same idea and develop it. Due to technology world is connected to each other. Session 2 Due to technology in architecture people's standard of living is increased. Smart gadgets are being developed and which is helpful to human beings in way or another. It also saves many of the natural resources and human labor. Conclusion I think development is important but up to certain level. Use of technology in excess also changes life style of human being. • 16. Kevin Mehta • Now-a-day the people cannot leave without Technology , they addicted by mobile phone , IPad , IPod , Computer etc. without all this things they cannot push his business. Without social site they cannot get news what happen in world. • People should use Technology like services not like habits. In our life the gadgets are like assets. • In architecture the Technology should less used of cad and other software maximum used of sketching and communication skill. Now-a-day there are many technology invented in constructions. Due to this gadget the interaction between people is less. They just talk in WhatsApp and phone they explain design in phone and through E-mail. • After all this things the people gets less time to work and eager to learn new things in software . For example The time will come people will checked his own blood through mobile phones No time for child caring Networked Environments Topic : Socio- Spatial Aspects of ICTs in Built Environment On : 03-04/01/2015 At : IPSA, Rajkot Students : 06-08 Semester 13
  • 17. Kinnary Gajjar Session 1: Technology: pros or cons? On the basis of today’s era. Technology is must, we can’t work out without technology anywhere. In every bits and parts the technology is there. From morning newspaper till the night news, we are so much addicted to that part we are not realizing the situation besides us. But the misuse is also there as much as useful. Every coin has 2 sides, same as every topic/invention/thing/human life/natural thing has its good and bad effect. Technology has lead us to many great invention in many fields but in many cases it has invented harmful machines or invention as eg .nuclear bomb/missile. As the technology has increased the more knowledge is increased, energy resources are protected, power consumption came in limit. But on other side we are getting more dependent on technology, without it we are feeling like handicapped. The solution for this only is that one should control its use, one has to take stand on today’s era of technology. Session 2: Smart buildings in society: Technology has reach us to that pick point where we can convert our dream in reality. The big example for this is smart buildings in current world. Smart building has provided so much of wide varieties of option which was not available in masonry buildings. Smart buildings has provided small space but larger in efficiency, less use of construction material, economic, efficient in power consumption etc. If smart building is adapted by society then it will be very helpful in many fields such as medical, research, business, education etc. it will have its harmful sides but that can also be tackle. Session 3: The survey: People are more comfortable on side of using the technology that is spreading to them. They have face problems in many situations and that time they were suggesting that technology is not helpful. From this I had conclude that now a day’s people have become impatience. First due to lack of advanced technology people were patience. They were relaxed in such a way, for a waiting of reply. But due to fast/instant/speedy era the people has use impatience for a seconds also. If work delay for seconds that is not applicable. The world has created services for micro seconds also, the precision has reached at that level. More, during survey physical issues also came that basic human movement are disturbed and lead us to harm of body. As a eg. If one gets food without working of body that will result in weakness of body, which was not there in hard work. Also, the negative aspects have increased, there are positive aspects of technology but negative are seeing much in comparison to natives. Due to which the relationship is getting certain…the warmth of relationship is decreased. Moreover, the man power is reduced and business volume is increased. Technology misuse is increased, the fraud is increased. The operating risk is increased in many fields. The unknown friend is increased while known friends are decreasing, due to which physical contacts are decreasing. Initially the letters were used in which the system was there to write a letter to someone means first we say, hello how are you? Etc etc. but now a days due to short cuts the language has gone, the polite manner has gone. During survey many aspects were seen that what are people thinking about the technology and in which manner they want to respond. Generation gap was seen in survey, the natives were in favor of technology but imminent were trying to get in use of it. • 18. Krutharth Nanavati ON THE FIRST DAY,FROM THE DISCUSSION ON CURRENT SOCIETY AND EFFECTS OF THE REVOLUTION IN TECHNOLOGY,IT ALWAYS DEPENDS ON PEOPLE THIS REVOLUTION DOES MAKE DIFFERENCE TO THE LIFE STANDARD,IT IS ALWAYS OUR CALL TO MAKE THINGS WISER FOR US.PEOPLE ARE GETTING USED TO NEW TECHNOLOGY,SO FAST THAT THEY COULDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO TRY ANOTHER WAYS TO DO THE REGULAR STUFF.I PERSONALLY FELT THAT TECHNOLOGY HAS TO REACH PEOPLE BEYOND SOCIO-ECONOMIC BARRIERS.BUT PEOPLE OF THAT A PERTICULAR SOCIETY HAVE TO BE THAT ADAPTIVE AND READY TO ACCEPT THE EXPONENTIAL CHANGE IN THINGS .IF THEY ARE NOT READY FOR THE CHANGE THEN ITS NO USE OF KEEP ON SPEEDEN UP TOWARDS NEW AND NEW WORLD OF GADGETS. ARCHITECTURE HAS BECAME SO MUCH CRUCIAL BECAUSE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENT HAS ADDED A SPATIAL CHARACTERIAL VALUE TO THE TYPOLOGY OF THIS MODERN WORLD.IN THE FIELD TO MAKE LIFESTYLE MORE COMFORTABLE ,IN TERMS OF THE SERVICES, GADGETS, SAFETY, SUSTAINABILITY, ENERGY EFFECIENCY & MANY MORE ADVANCED ASPECTS OF ARCHITECTURE.WE CAN HAVE A NEW IDIAL WORLD AS PER OUR NEED.WE CAN MAKE OUR LIVES MUCH MORE EASIER,HAPPY AND CAN BE MORE SATIISFY WITH OUR SURROUNDINGS,IN SHORT BY THE USE OF THIS GROWTH OF TECHNOLOGY WE CAN CREATE A BETTER HABITAT OF OURSELVES AND THE NEXT GENERATION ON THE MOTHER EARTH.IT IS OUR ROLE TO PROPOSE THE RIGHT SCALES AND PUT APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF TECHNOLOGICAL STUFF ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE ,WHO ARE GOING TO USE IT. FROM THE KINDA SOCIETY ENCOUNTER, THE ACT WE DID IN THE PARK OF PREM MANDIR,I GOT TO KNOW THAT THE TECHNOLOGY EFFECTS ON THE PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THEIR AGE.THE YOUNGSTERS(THE TEEN AGE )ARE HAVING THIS TECHNOLGY AS THEIR IMPORTANT AND MENDETARY PART OF THE LIFE.SOME OF THEM ARE SO MUCH ADDICTED THAT THEY COULDN’T EVEN THINK A DAY LIVING WITH THEIR PHONES,THAT DEPENDENCY ON THIS TECHNOLOGY IS I THINK NOT GOOD.THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN BETWEEN 40-50 YEARS AGE ,THEY ARE ADAPTED IN A WAY THAT THEY ARE USING THESE TECHNOLOGY FOR GROWTH OF THEIR PROFESSION AND MORE OF THAT WAY.THEY ARE USING THE THINGS AS MEANS OF THEIR NEEDS,THEY UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REAL HUMAN HAPPY LIFE AND COMPLETING THE HECTIC TASKS EASIER BY THE USE OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGY. THIS ELECTIVE WAS A QUITE EYE OPENER FOR ME.BECAUSE SOMETIMES WE DON’T EVEN THINK THAT WHAT WE ARE ALREADY STARTED TO LOOSE,IN GREED OF GAINING THE NEW VERSIONS OF TECHNICAL STUFF.I THINK WE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO BALANACE OUR OWN LIFE BETWEEN THIS WAVE OF REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY.THINGS ARE BECAME MORE EASIER THAT WE CAN HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO DO WHAT WE LIKE PR WANTED TO DO SO FAR. TECHNOLOGY IGIVES US OPPORTUNITY TO PUSH OUR LIMITS TOWARDS NEW DIRECTIONS.WE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS NEW DIRECTION ACCORDING TO OUR STRENGTH AND NECESSARIES. • 19. Liza Davidson Today if we look at the overall scenario of the society the speed at which the technology and innovations are taking over the market is quite impressive. In other words there is a rapid evolution. As rapid evolution is taking place and people are taking less time to adapt and embrace the new innovations, a time may come where this generation gap will be totally gone and the immigrants, adaptive will no longer exist but everyone will be natives or millennials. And as we say change is constant, so why not just adjust ourselves into the flow and look forward to becoming advanced. If virtual spaces and networked spaces are about to bring a vast change in the way we perceive a space then I think we should really look forward to becoming tech-savvy. But the question is till what extent of speed can the people cope up with such rapid advancement? The second question is that how many people are equipped enough to operate digital devices? I personally feel that compared to other countries India needs to buck up in terms of adapting technology. But a counter debate occurs wherein the natives spend most of their time using technology that inspite of being connected they are not actually connected and they avoid themselves in engaging in other conventional methods of live, work and play. But again it is a personal challenge that to what extent do we allow technology to enter or lives. I think that we are moving with a great speed and this should not stop and more and more innovations and technologies should be adapted by us as soon as possible. When we interacted with other people on the topic wherein we asked them that nowadays everything is possible on our mobile phones then why do we need public places like malls or gardens, then we got an answer that we need such places for social refreshment and in order to get away from our blocked life. Technology is alright for very busy people who don’t have even a minute to spare but for most of the common people public places hold importance even as a source of time pass and enjoyment. When we think about the concept of smart city and the hi-tech technologies that are being invented and put in use then I don’t see a reason why we should devoid ourselves from adapting and embracing those technologies. If we consider the life of smart cities it has many pros which are promising in a way that we will be more safer and things would be more convenient to us. So if we convince our clients with the safety factor then maybe they would adapt the idea of a smart city and its concepts. The common view of people is that technology should come no matter what but first of all we need to treat human mind and man power. There should be a kind of human discipline. There is much manpower in India than any other country but we need technologies which can employ this man power. But this technology will affect us at a later stage physically. This fast technology is creating socially economic unbalance. So there is a need to think for the overall race of humankind. • 20. Mohit Parakhiya TODAY USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS WE CAN SAY PROBLEM OR BLASS I THINK IT HAVE BOTH SIDE AS A COIN. I THINK USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS MORE HELP FULL TO US. OUR KNOLADGE LEVEL INCRAGE BECOUSE OF TECHNOLOGY LIFE CAN BE EASY BY USEING TECHNOLOGY. BUT USE OF TECHNOLOGY SHOUD IN LIMITED WAY I.E. IT SHOUD NOT HARM OR BE AGAINST PEOPLE. ITS UP TO US SHOUD I USE OR NOT.AS MY POIT OF VIEW USE OF TECHNOLOGY OR MACHIN IS USE FUUL FOR ME BUT SAME TECHNOLOGY OR MACHIN IS NOT USE FULL OR LESS USE FULL ITS ON OUR INDIVISUAL LET’S TAKE A SIMPLE EXAMPLE OF A CLOTH FACTORY. AT THAT TIME WE USE CLOTH IS A MACHIN PRODECT SO ITS QUALITY IS EQUAL SAME COLOUE AND LESS DEFACTIV SO USE OF TECHNOLOGY GIVE US PRODECT IN GOOD QUALITY IN EARLY TIME THERE WAS NO MACHIN WE MAKE CLOTH BY HAND SO PRODECT IS MORE DEFECTIVE IT TAKE TOO MUCH TIME TO COMPLATE AND MORE HUMAN AFFORD BUT NOW IT IS EASY MAIN IT TAKE LESS TIME AND LESS HUMAN AFFORD AND MORE QUANTITY. SO IT GOOD FOR OWNER OF THE FACTORY BUT LESS HUMAN AFFOD SO IT TAKE MANY PEOPLE’S JOB SO NOT GOOD FOR THAT PEOPLE. SO, EITHER WE PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY TO CUSTOMER OR WE SAVE MORE PEOPLE’S JOB. SO DESIGION IS ONLY ON OUR MIND WHAT TO DO. SHOUD USE TECHNOLOGY OR NOT IF YES SO HOW TO USE MEANS AT WHAT LEVEL WE USE. NOW IN ARCHITECTURE AT THAT TIME MANY MORDEN BUILDING CONSTRUCT. IT IS VERY USE FULL AT SOME POINT OF VIEW. IF WE PROVIDE PEOPLE DEFINATLY USE LIKE OTHER TECHNOLOGY SOME PEOPLE AVOID THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY BUT AT LONG TIME MOST OF PEOPLE USE THEY WILL ADAPT THE TECHNOLOGY OF MORDEN WORLD. IN INTERVIEW TAKEN AND QUESTIONS ASKED ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT PLANNING TO BUILT TO SMART CITIES SOME OF THEM SHOUD USE TECHNOLOGIES SOME OF THAT SAY WE ARE LIVING HEAR SO WHY WE BUILT MORDEN CITY BUT MOST OF THEM SAY THEY ADAPT TECHNOLOGY BUT IN A LIMITED WAY SO THAT IT NOT OVERPOWER OUR NORMAL LIFE. FOR EXAMPLE WE GO ANY WHER IN CITY LIKE IN MALL OR RAILWAYSTATIN MOST OF PEOPLE USE THEIR PHONE OR IPAD THEY NOT ENJOY PLACE AT THAT TIME. SO IT CALLED OVER USE OF TECHNOLOGY. IT IS HARMFULL FOR US SO WE AVOID OVER USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN MORDEN SMART CITIES THEN DEFINATLY IT WORKS PEOPLE ADAPT EASLY IF NOT AVOID PEOPLE ADAPT THAT IF WE PROVIDE BUT IT HAS MORE HARMFULL EFFECTS LIKE SIDEFFECTS. SO, USE OF TECHNOLOGY IS NOT BAD BUT IT HAS LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME TO USE THAT THINGS SO IT AGAIN DEPAND ON OURS. • 21. Nishit Patel PART 1 : What about technology? When technologies are not more then present time in industries, there were more workers worked in factories. but when technology were increase and increase , more workers were being unemployed. so poor people scale is increase. these problems are affect in human cycle. human health cycle is also break , a people who worked in that field became unemployed. many people have health issues. so that kind of people are went to extra health care center. And spend extra time for health care. PART 2 : In architecture we have much technology to apply in buildings but i personally belive that if we can use more technologies in buildings..... people are being lazy, and also spend more money on that... it is also effect on sustainability. so we have to avoid more technology in buildings. PART 3 : In last part i have great experience for field. it was so nicely done, we go to love temple for getting common people review. we are dressed very funny and attracting so people are happy and they are convincing for answers. Personally i like that idea very much. Networked Environments Topic : Socio- Spatial Aspects of ICTs in Built Environment On : 03-04/01/2015 At : IPSA, Rajkot Students : 06-08 Semester 18
  • 22. Paramdeep Dayani Session 1 Every technology or invention is because of one's need and betterment of life. Thus it should be seen and used similarly. "Technology is an asset, and not a liability!" Session 2 In the field of architecture as an architect it is our role to take technology in consideration as we also work to make lives of others easy. So in a building one should consider keeping and including latest technology and also make it versatile that technology that will be invented later can be added in the building without hindering its function and use. Session 3 The field trip made me aware of how people look at technology and use them in various ways. How different people look at the concept of smart cities and how limited use of technology is a necessity! Some people also considering it as an addiction and need of psychiatrist were also told! And also learned how can grabbing the attention is prone to getting honest answers from the public! • 23. Samarth Patel Technology has brought about a revolution in the modern world. It has made our lives easy and fast. Technology has a made the world a global village. Most kids these days don't even know how to use a dictionary because " Google has it all" so they don't see it as a necessary skill. Look around at how many people are engrossed in their phones walking down the street, or while driving. Most accidents are caused by people using their phones while driving, whether it be for GPS, to get on Facebook or anything else. It's insane for some people to fathom how anyone ever lived without texting, GPS, and Google. Technology is a big help and a big problem. We also have advanced machines to perform various operations. Just by sitting in our room we can see a person and speak to our near and dear ones, no matter how far they are. Now let us look into the disadvantages. Technology has made man machine addicted. All these things make us lazy. Children are addicted to games on phones and laptops. They have stopped playing outside. All these things make us lazy. • 24. Shaikh Mohammed Naeem I FEEL TECHNOLOGY IS OVERPOWER ON HUMAN LIFE.IT IS FOR COMFORT IN DAILY LIFE .BUT NOW A DAYS PEOPLE ARE USE TCHNOLOGY WITHOUT PURPOSE ALSO . LIKE THEY ARE MORE INVOLVED IN VIRTUAL WORLD .THAN OF PHYSICAL WORLD.SO IT IS VERY BAD EFFECT ON MAN KIND.THERE IS NO TIME FOR OURSELF. SMART CITY/BUILDING IS TAGGED BECAUSE OF SOME TECHNOLOGY IN IT FOR HUMAN COMFORT SO TECHNOLOGY IS COMES AFTER SOME PHYSICAL STRUCTURE.SO I CONSIDER TECHNOLOGY AS A SERVICE PART AND TECHNOLOGY IS EVOLVED SPEEDLY BY TIME .SO I CAN RESPOND TECHNOLOGY DESIGN BUILDIN BY CONSIDER SUCH ASPECTS OF TECHNOLOGY AS A SERVICES AND ITS CHANGES . ON FIELD EXPERIENCE IS GOOD.FIRST I BAECAME CONFIDENT AND SHYLESS.ON FIELD WE REVIEW FROM YOUNGSTER TO AGED PERSON.AND THEY ARE CURRUIOUS ABOUT US BECAUSE OF OUR DRESSING AND MOVEMENTS .AND OF 60% ARE ADAPTIVE AND NATIVES.ACCORDING TO THEM TECHNOLOGY IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THERE LIFE MOST OF THEM IS LIABLE ON TECHNOLOGY.AND ACCORDING TO THEM THERE SHOULD BE WAY OF STOP MISSUSE OF TECHNOLGY.AND THERE ARE ALSO ACCEPT NEW REVOLUTION IN TECHNOLOGY.BUT SOME NEEDS TO DECREASES THE SPEED OF REVOLUTIONIN TECHNOLOGY. SO OVERALL IS GOOD EXPEREINCE AND INFORMATIVE ON LARGER CONTEXT. • 25. Shreya Vekariya 1st session I am with both pro and anti-technology. Because it’s all necessary to be with the new but to remember the old too It is up to one that if he wants there life to be technical or not. And about the children that we are talking they can be taught to do the right because all they learn is what elders do. 2nd session To me architecture we have now is what we need now according to the technical atmosphere…! But when we are going to progress in the technology we have, we obviously need to have the most updated version of building. In this also i say it depends on the person who is going to use it an even who is going to make it. 3rd session We have met different aged people and asked them about the technology an buildings now and what they want in next years. The answers were not very different. There were people who said they don’t want to use these technology but they can’t survive in this technical world .that is true because if we release Devanand’s movie today its not going to work out that much as Salman khan’s movie does…! Some of them said that they were just using what was necessary not more than that and they want to continue it. Children said that there are different fun in both virtual and real games. After all this i can’t come to a stand that what am i going to do about this topic in future . I think i will be able to take a stand after i practice much more. • 26. Siddhant Bhatasana Should we have to be pro-tech OR why we should be pro-tech give logical reasons ? ? There was one sentence in one of the videos that “whoever adapt quickly, will be a part of evolution”. I think that using of technology is totally individual approach. It is upon us to save time or waste time behind these technologies. I will take stand to use these technologies to some limit. Using of technologies has to under control under us. I think that every person has to become digital adaptive. Should we use this technologies in this field of architecture…..?? By using these technologies in building and at city level security will become very good and crime and traffic will reduce. We will feel safer at any time. Efforts and time consumption will reduce. Survey at garden – About using of technologies….. We did one survey at public garden; we asked young generation and also aged people. They both had told us that technology has to come in all sense but with some limitations. Aged people had told us that in India if we brought high technologies the issue of less employment will definitely arises. So keep that issue in mind we should bring up technologies. Some younger generation people had told us that it is good that by just clicking we can shop, pay bills etc.. and it should improve also. They also had told us that these virtual media is very good in all sense but it is true that now a days we are miss using it. • 27. Snehal Saxena Is technology adaption is good for our life??? I think it is an individual stand to decide technology as positive way or a negative way. I am with technology, I personally mean that to have its knowledge. I would helpful in an individually and when we are discussing about it in a group. It would also helpful when we are working with it. In today’s life one should have the knowledge about it otherwise this society or friends will point us and says “don’t know such simple things.” One should have the knowledge about it for that one should have to adapt it. Should we use these technology in all place??? Especially in architecture??? We know that technology changes by the initial period to the present one. And how it has increasing the development in every field such as, manufacturing, educational, agriculture, communication, business, health care. As well as use of internet makes us life very simpler. We can access internet at any place even we can communicate with people at any place of the world. For example we can shop online, we can get any information, we can downloads pictures, movies, software, videos that are very useful in our career. If I looked at it in a positive way then this technology has a positive characteristic. I know that it also has a negative characteristic but I am not focusing on it. Another positive things is that due to such technology our life is more safe/secure. So that we also using it in a architecture. Due such incorporation of technology with architecture makes architecture more innovated and ease. As we know that in ancient period construction of buildings consumes more time but now a days construction is rapid and ease. Such buildings that we are visit usually like ATMs, signal towers, commercial complex, shops, Petrol pumps. We all are in the surveillance of CCTV cameras that gadgets keeps recording activities and that save our life from fatal accidents and also helpful in resolving cases. Due to mobile phone one can get our location in a situation when we are in danger. So I think that technology touches each and every facet of our lives with the application of technology, critical and time-consuming processes can be executed with ease and in less time. They save human efforts and time to a great extent and make life easy and comfortable. “Survey about technology and internet use at garden.” We had asked the questions related technology and internet and we get the answer from two type of people. Millennial (digital native) and aged (digital immigrants). Digital native :- technology is good we all have to use and get our self-updated with it. And if everything is can be done by a mobile at home only then we don’t need to go anywhere. And about access use of mobile one should have the own limits of usage beyond this not to use. Digital immigrants :- technology is good it should develop and we also updated with it but should not use in every place like for shopping, bill payment, etc. one should go because they said that “ bill bharvano to anand j alag hoi.” And about phone: - it is a gadget having good features. But it should not to be given under aged children. They will misuses it. But after maturity it is good to have it. Children and everybody should updated with the knowledge of technology it is helpful. • 28. Suril Gajera SESSION 1 IN FIRST SESSION WE SAW THE RATE OF DEVELOPMENT IN TECHNOLOGY AND FURTHER HOW IT IS GOING TO DEVELOP. IN A WAY IF WE SEE TOWARDS TECHNOLOGY CONSTRUCTIVELY THEN IT IS BEST WAY TO GET DEVELOP BUT IT IS AS MUCH DESTRUCTIVE AS IT IS HELPFUL IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIFE. IF WE SEE IT IN A CONSTRUCTIVE WAY THEN WE CAN VISIT ANY PLACE OF THE WORLD JUST SITTING AT ONE PLACE BUT IF WE SEE IT IN A DESTRUCTIVE WAY THAN IT ALSO AFFECTS OUR DAY TOO DAY LIFE . SESSION 2 IN SESSION AFTER THE LUNCH I SAW SMART HOUSE WHICH WAS VERY INSPIRING FOR ME AS AN ARCHITECT . THE SMART HOUSE IS THE FUTURE OF ARCHITECTURE IN A WAY AS IT IS VERY EXPENCIVE BUT IT ALSO SAVES OUR MOST OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND HUMAN LOBOUR. INTERVIEW IN GARDEN IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE TO FIRST CATCH THEIR ATTENSION BY PERFORMING SOME EYE-CATCHING ACTIVITY AND THEN INTERVIEWING THEM WITH SOME OF OUR QUESTIONS REGARDING TECHNOLOGY AND ALSO WE GOT ALMOST EVERY ANSWER TO OUR QUESTIONS DUE TOO THEIR CO-OPERATION.
