  2. 2. What is Reggaeton<br />Reggaeton is a mix of reggae/dancehall, traditional Latin and hip hop that was created in Latin America and has spread in popularity throughout the world. Reggaeton lyrical structure resembles hip hop lyrics. Like hip hop, most reggaeton artists recite their lyrics rap-fashion rather than sing Unlike hip hop music, however, a percent of reggaeton artists are also singers, may blend rapping and singing, and may also have a "street" image. Like hip hop music, reggaeton songs have hooks that are repeated throughout the song.<br />

Where did Reggaeton originate?<br />Reggaeton's roots started off as Spanish reggae in Panama The music eventually made its way and continued evolving and coming to prominence in Puerto Rico where it became reggaeton. Reggaeton started as an adaptation of Jamaican reggae (and later Jamaican lala to the Spanish language and overall culture in Panama.<br />
  4. 4. Why Did Caribbean's migrate to Panama?<br />One wave of Jamaican and Caribbean migration to Panama came in the 1880s as a result of a French company’s attempt to build a canal across Panama. The attempt ultimately failed, but preceded U.S. efforts to build the Panama Canal in the last decade of the 19th century. <br />

  6. 6. FitoBlanko<br />Fito released his debut album Higher Levelin 2004 produced by Sensei. Higher Level produced two singles, "Me Voy a Marchar" and "By My Side". In 2007, FitoBlanko as well released the singles "Change The Game" featuring Tef and "Boom Boom". In 2009 FitoBlanko releases "Mambo" featuring Drake (entertainer) .In 2010 FitoBlanko releases three singles "Dip Low", "Whine On You" Featuring Omari Ferrari, and "Tu Amiga EstaMejor" featuring Mr.Saik prod. by Sensei and released under CROWN LOYALTY<br />
  7. 7. Pitbull<br />In 2004, Pitbull released his debut album M.I.A.M.I., with the lead single being "Culo produced by Lil Jon and the Diaz Brothers. He joined the Anger Management Tour, the 2005 hip-hop concert tour headlined by Eminem and 50 Cent .[7]Pitbull also appeared on the Ying Yang Twins single "Shake” which peaked at #41 on the Hot 100 and #12 on the rap chart, and Twista’s "Hit the Floor” (#94 Hot 100, #20 Rap). Remix album Money Is Still a Major Issuewas released in November 2005; it included new track "Everybody Get Up", a duet with hip-hop/R&B group Pretty Ricky.<br />
  8. 8. Eddy K<br />Eddy-K was at the beginning a duowith "Eddy" (Eduardo Mora Hernández) and "K" Leyden. In August 1998 the singer of rap music "Jorgito” joined them.Kleidis left the band a little time after. The band became more larger after with the arrival of the singer "Deep Drama" (Damian Aguirre Perez) in 2000, and "DJ Tony" (José Antonio Suárez Torres) in November 2001.They made the music of the television show of Cuban television "La OtraGeografía, did a world tour with "La Charanga Habaneray Las Voces de Cuba" (Vania, Osdalgia & Halia) (in the place of Halia), and did the first part of the concert of Don Omar in Cancún.<br />
  9. 9. Torombolo<br />Torombolo's debut album, Calibre, was released in April 2007. It is Torombolo's first CD, which he named after his home state of California, he respectfully added "libre" (free) and created the name for the album, Calibre. The CD contains 15 tracks features singles such as California, Triquitraca, and Nuevo Ritmo which can be heard on the radio internationally. Calibre also features collaborations with other local Bay Area artist such as Dego and also Catracho on TuIdolo, and Loco.<br />
