He holds a Bachelor and Master of Science Degree in Computer Science with a concentration in information systems and computer networks from Jackson State University and Monmouth University, respectively. He received a professional certificate in business analysis, which gives him the designation of certified business analysis (CBA). Derrick also has more than 4 years of business analysis experience in reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting user needs and requirements, and formulating solution strategy. Derrick spent 5 years as Senior Technology Planner/Consultant and IT Business Analyst with BCT Partners, where he shared responsibility for developing comprehensive and strategic technology plans and for leading business requirements gathering and documenting to help BCT's clients leverage technology more effectively to achieve their mission.
