The grace of god

  1. 1. 2012 Grace of God ! Justice-Recognition-Salvation God has loved so much the world that he gave his only begotten son freely so that we may be saved! How can we receive that grace and how can we fail from it is what we are going to see in this book. Muhire Desire 21/06/2012
  2. 2. IntroductionMany people are being saved, others are already saved but what Jesus did to the crossfor our lives! We are going to take like a simulation of a slave who had a dept to his master andmust die because he was not able to pay!Like a child who has destroyed his heritage and his father had already given all hischildren their parts so in justice he deserve nothing for he was given his part!Like an association that helps people to pay their dept and cover their failure!Like architecture and an ingenious at the same time; who plan and builds! Grace of God. Page 2
  3. 3. Justice of God!If we take justice like doing something right, like while going to church you findsomeone who need one bread to save his life. And if we take sin like you didn’t do thatand he died .Now it is very serious because you can’t go back in time and give him thebread or you can’t give him back the life!We have fail righteousness (fail to do what is right ,just ,perfect) Roman3:9-18 wehave failed to do what is good at our state of being, like a child who you pay schoolfees ,you give everything but he don’t succeed !Recognition of sin!And how do we know that there is a sin, it is by law,Romans 7:7 … it was the law thatshowed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law hadnot said, "You must not covet."Good news!Jesus Christ come and died that we may have life and all its fullness!John10:10 "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”Romans 8:1"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyonewho believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16I tell you the truth;no one can see the kingdom of God unless his born again.John3:3To be born again,God gives us freely righteousness(that doesn’t come from ourhardworking(strive)!)Roman 3:21-24How?By accepting the sacrifice and the work of salvation that Jesus did(believing in thegospel.)Ephesians 2:8 Grace of God. Page 3
  4. 4. Salvation by grace through faith inJesus Christ!Faith can be defined as to have confidence in someone that even if what is telling you seemsto be unclear you trust him and what he says.Hebrew 11:1 ; 2 Corinthians 5:7Not by our mighty (Zechariah 4:6) Grace of God. Page 4
  5. 5. My Grace Is Enough for You“But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I amwhat I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing(fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [theapostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmeritedfavor and blessing) of God which was with me.” - 1 Corinthians15:10 – Amplified BibleLamentations chapter 3 says it;“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies nevercease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh eachmorning.” “But He said to me, ‘My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy)is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you tobear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are madeperfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in[your] weakness.’ Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in myweaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (theMessiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure ininfirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses;for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength).” – 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 – AmplifiedBible Grace of God. Page 5
  6. 6. I Want To Do What Is Right, But I Can’t“And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. Iwant to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t.I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what Idon’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in methat does it.” Romans 7:18 -212 Corinthians 5:17 which says, “Anyone who belongs to Christ has becomea new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.”“Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you CHOOSE toobey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can CHOOSEto obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you wereslaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey his teachings we have givenyou. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slavesto righteous living.” Romans 6:16-18“If any of you wants to be My follower, you MUST turn from your selfishways, take up your cross, and follow M e. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake, you will sa ve it.”Matthew 16:24-25GIVING US THE DESIRE AND THE POWER TO DO WHAT PLEASES HIM.Philippians 2:13When we are tempted, He will show us a way out so that we can endure. 1Corinthians 10:13We can by the power of the Holy Spirit put to death the deeds of our si nfulnature. Romans 8:9, 12-13“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life giving Spirit hasfreed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” Romans 8:1-2He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can bedead to sin and live for what is right. 1 Peter 2:24Be Strong In the Lord and In His Mighty Power“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians6:10 Grace of God. Page 6
  7. 7. The shelter and the Armor of GodEphesians 6:10-1810 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the fullarmor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’sschemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against therulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world andagainst the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore puton the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may beable to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, tostand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around yourwaist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feetfitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 Inaddition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you canextinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet ofsalvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers andrequests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all theLord’s people. The shelterDon’t rely on your own strength Ephesians 6:10.Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your ownunderstanding. Proverb 3:4.Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, an d he will help you.Psalm 37:5Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Grace of God. Page 7
  8. 8. The armor of GodThe truthJesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come tothe Father except through me. John 14:6What your life is based on, theory of life do you follow! Jesus said inMatthew 7:24-27 24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mineand puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on therock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew andbeat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation onthe rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not putthem into practice is like a foolish man wh o built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat againstthat house, and it fell with a great crash.”This how the truth has a big impact on our daily life, if yo u follow anotherteacher who is not Christ ,no matter how he is, it can lead you to hell .forwe are Jesus ‘s disciple by listen to his word and believe them!RighteousnessIf you walk in flesh surely you follow the world view and the word say inRomans 8:6 “So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads todeath.”The flesh described in the bible is deprive d from three major things of thespirit that God gives us:” For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but aspirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”2Timothy 1:7Besides, the bible state clearly that anyone who have no these will notenter in the kingdom of Heaven! Revelation 21:8; Galatians 5:19-21 Grace of God. Page 8
  9. 9. Fool virgins Matthew 25:3Generation without the fear of God.1samuel 6:1-15Worship for a fun 2Timothy3:4-5 instead of worshipping like David whoworshipped before God and for God!2Samuel6:21Jesus said we will be worshipping in spirit and truth John4:25 ,but thisgeneration worshipping by lips but they heart are away from GodMatthiew15:8!1 Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandonthe faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.Matthew 15:9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely humanrules.2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sounddoctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them agreat number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.Jude 1:18They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who willfollow their own ungodly desires."HypocritesMatthew 15 :3 ;7-93 He answered them,1 “And why do you disobey the commandment of God because ofyour tradition?7 Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, 9 and they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Grace of God. Page 9
  10. 10. What God says about these two peopleIsaiah1:2-3;13;18-20 Listen, O heavens, pay attention, O earth! For the LORD speaks:“I raisedchildren, I brought them up, but they have rebelled against me!An ox recognizes its owner,a donkey recognizes where its owner puts itsfood;but Israel does not recognize me,my people do not understand.”Do not bring any more meaningless offerings;I consider your incensedetestable!Come, let’s consider your options,” says the LORD.“Thoughyour sins have stained you like the color red, you can become white likesnow; though they are as easy to see as the color scarlet, you can becomewhite like wool.If you have a willing attitude and obey, then you will again eat the goodcrops of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by thesword.”Know for certain that the LORD has spoken.Purifying judgment !Why do God allows us to be tempted? Why did Christ died? Can I continue to live aGodless life?Do I fall from grace!here,we are going to see some explaination that canhelp us !God doesn’t love a sin and proud! When we make sin we destroy whether ourselves or others. And when your are proudGod resist to the proud!Rigtheousnees by observing the law(proud)!Refusing to accept that we are not able by ourself to observes the law ,for all the laware good and the will stand for ever but we fail them that is the matter and it is thereason why Christ came and when you refuse and seek the righteousness through law;God will let you pass through the big tribulations to understand that you have failhim!Otherwise in heaven you would say I rich by myself in heaven and heaven is agrace!Roman3:19-2619 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law,so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to Grace of God. Page 10
  11. 11. God. 20 For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, forthrough the law comes the knowledge of sin. 21 But now apart from the law therighteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has beendisclosed – 22 namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of JesusChrist for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 for all have sinned and fallshort of the glory of God. 24 But they are justified freely by his grace through theredemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 God publicly displayed him at his death as themercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed. 26This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he wouldbe just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.
