  2. 2. The things you need to make a Miwok basket <ul><li>A 30 inch by 26 inch long tub. </li></ul><ul><li>Dry reeds. </li></ul><ul><li>Need small and large reeds. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Step one <ul><li>Take large reed and cut it into eight 20 inch pieces. </li></ul><ul><li>Take small rope and tie the big reeds in hand. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Step two <ul><li>Dye a small reed about 100 inches long if wanted. </li></ul><ul><li>Do not touch the reed until two hours are over. </li></ul><ul><li>You do not have to dye the reed. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Step three <ul><li>Take the small reed and go in and out on the big reeds. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Step four <ul><li>When you get to the end of the reed leave it alone. </li></ul><ul><li>Repeat the steps above. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Step five <ul><li>When you think you are done, tuck the big reeds into the slots that your basket has made. </li></ul>
