2. Before the Exam:
Before the exam it is very important that you:
1. Eat well- Avoid foods and beverages high in
caffeine and sugars. Make sure you drink plenty
of water and are well hydrated.
2. Sleep- The night before a big exam it is
important that you get over 8 hours sleep and that
you are not up all night ‘cramming’. This can
avoided by starting to study months in advance.
3. Relax- Do not walk into an exam stressed,
avoid this by relaxing e.g. Take a walk or
participate in some yoga.
3. What to Bring Into the Exam?
Make sure you have the following items (as well
as spares):
Pens
Pencils
Water bottle
Sharpener
4. In the Exam Room
-- Read the exam paper before attempting questions
-- Relax!
-- Read over your work at the end (proof read)
5. Important Tips
If you don’t know a answer, move on and come back to
it later!
Before attempting a question, note down everything you
can think of to help you scaffold a answer.
There is no need to re-word the question. This wastes
time and space.
Answer every single multiple choice question, even if
you do not know the answer!
