The pros of Globalization: <ul><li>worldwide market : more access to products of different countries. </li></ul><ul><li>steady cash flow into the developing countries. </li></ul><ul><li>increase in the production sector : options for the companies. </li></ul><ul><li>world power instead of compartmentalized power sectors. </li></ul><ul><li>more influx of information between two countries. </li></ul><ul><li>cultural intermingling and each other is trying to know about the other’s cultural preferences. </li></ul><ul><li>shar ing financial interests : corporate and governments are trying to sort out ecological problems for each other. </li></ul><ul><li>s ocially more open and tolerant towards each other. </li></ul><ul><li>a lot of technological development. </li></ul>

There are cons: <ul><li>Europeans are losing jobs and companies are outsourcing work to the Asian countries since the cost of labor is low and profits the company considerably. </li></ul><ul><li>immense pressure on the employed Europeans who are always under the threat of the business being outsourced. </li></ul><ul><li>Corporates are building up units in other countries transferring the quality to other countries. </li></ul><ul><li>leading to the incursion of negatives like communicable diseases and social degeneration. </li></ul><ul><li>a threat of corporates ruling the world because there is a lot of power, which is invested in them due to globalization. </li></ul><ul><li>http://www.buzzle.com/articles/pros-and-cons-of-globalization.html </li></ul>

ELT activities <ul><li>writing letters to governments, organizations, and companies; </li></ul><ul><li>growing trees and other plants; </li></ul><ul><li>reducing use of paper, energy, and containers; </li></ul><ul><li>reusing materials such as glass jars; </li></ul><ul><li>recycling materials and buying recycled materials, such as recycled paper; </li></ul><ul><li>educating others and taking part in campaigns to persuade others to participate in environmentally friendly actions; </li></ul><ul><li>r aising funds for environmental causes; and boycotting environmentally unfriendly products, such as those made from endangered species, and instead buying environmentally friendly products, e.g., refrigerators that do not use ozone-depleting chemicals. </li></ul>
