2. King’s Day is celebrated on January 6th. It
is the 12th day of the 12 days of Christmas.
¿Cuándo?
3. King’s Day is celebrated in most Hispanic
countries, including Spain, Mexico,
Colombia, and Argentina. It is also
celebrated in some hispanic communities in
the United States.
¿Dónde?
4. King’s Day is called “the height of the
Christmas season.” It is the 12th day of
Christmas and represents the 3 kings
traveling from far away to bring gifts to the
newborn king, Jesus.

5. Three King’s Day is celebrated in various ways.
Traditionally, people eat Rosca de Reyes, or
King’s ring. This dish is a wreath shaped bread
with candied fruit on top. Children set out
their shoes with hay in them for the King’s
camels. In the morning, the hay is replaced
with gifts from the kings.

6. Three King’s Day is a holiday to celebrate
the 3 kings that traveled to Bethlehem and
followed the star to where baby Jesus was
born. In Spain, this holiday is considered
almost as important as Christmas.
