Nationwide only 5% of child care center capacity is for infants & toddlers. Our governments solution to the problem is licensed family child care homes is failing misserably, see the National Association of Resource & Referral Agency Report "Leaving Childcare to Chance" on the state of licensed family child care homes in the US. Women are failing to develop their careers, according to Sheryl Sandberg, COO, Facebook "women start falling off their career track the minute she has a child's. On-site child care will not work for most employers so is not going to have a wide impact. Yvon Chouinard, CEO Patogonia, Author of 'The Responsible COmpany" quote "For every woman who does not leave my workforce when she has a baby we save $50,000". Our Solution = NEAR SITE - NON PROFIT - TRUE WORKFORCE SOLUTION CENTERS. We need your help to make our vision a reality. You can make tomorrows workforce better & you can give these children the quality of care they deserve. Make a donation today www.SpectrumMontessories.com

  6. 6. History “Early Childhood Education Centers of Excellence”Founded in July 2009 our passion for the advocacy of quality child carestemmed from the physical abuse of one of the children in a licensedfamily child care home. The provider who admitted she tied a 2- year-old to a highchair and lefther for hours in a dark closet was sentenced to four years probation, paythousands of dollars in fines, serve 1,200 hours of community service andordered to give up her child care license. Our founder, Miss Kelly along with Assemblyman Todd Spitzer fought forlegislation requiring licensed child care providers to carry liabilityinsurance.
