We hope that you enjoy our worship. Our outreach has three dimen- sions to it. First, we send out monthly courses to 31,000 national preachers and teachers. These expository studies (in booklet form) have been translated into thirteen different languages. These courses constitute one of the largest mailings (if not the largest) that our brotherhood is currently doing. However, this mailing needs to be twice its size because of the great need for world coverage that exists. We are preparing preachers and teachers to be grass roots missionaries in 140 to 185 nations of the world. Secondly, having divided the earth into ten parts, we are now taking on a tenth of the earth each year with mass mailings. We do this by sending out a large, extensive mailing of Life of Christ I and II. For ex- ample, this past year we mailed 10,000 sets of Life of Christ, I, II (20,000 volumes) to Sub Sahara Africa. These two volumes comprise one of the finest sets of studies on “The Life of Christ” that we have done. With this mass mailing, we are addressing the need to quickly develop grass-roots missionaries who can immediately begin the wonderful work of teaching Jesus very effectively to the people around them. Our massive mailing this year is to Latin America. These Spanish and Portuguese editions of Life of Christ, I & II will be sent to preachers and teachers across Latin America in November. This big mailing will have the same dimensions as our African mailing—10,000 sets, 20,000 hardback books, on “The Life of Jesus.” Our goal is to identify and empower 10,000 Christian men who can teach “The Life of Jesus” effectively to the people of their communities. Thirdly, we are continuing our far-reaching work of providing an online learning center for 90 percent of the world. Our mass mailings guide the preachers and teachers who receive them to our online learning center. This center has commentary-like studies covering 93 percent of the Bible. We now have 375 courses online—48 courses in English and 327 in twenty-two other languages. Our work—with the monthly and mass mailings and with the online learning center—gives us one of the finest worldwide missionary efforts that our brotherhood has. Truth for Today World Mission School • 2209 The present situation is different from any situation we have ever known. It is a difficult time to ask brethren to give to this work; and in this situation, it is hard for brethren to be in a position to give. All of us are being hit from all sides. However, we hope that you and I will not be deterred by this adversity from our goal of answering the call of the Great Commission. With thankfulness and respect for you, we are inviting you to help us with a meaningful contribution from the funds with which the Lord has blessed you. Surely, there is no greater need in the world than that of the church reaching out more completely into the entire world with the gospel. Thank you for considering it. Perhaps glancing through the enclosures concerning our attempt to cover the earth will help you to understand how important our work is. Can you help us? Yours for covering the earth with gospel, Eddie Cloer, Director Ourweeklyshow,Plant&Water,isnowavail- able.YoucanwatchRichardandJohnathan everyWednesdayonourChurchofChrist Facebookpage.Youcanwatchorlistentothe showonyoursmartphone, tablet, orcomputer. They Is- land hop by plane from place to place and have re- cently moved to Guam making it their home base. Guam is a province of the United States which al- lows the Treats a few more freedoms. Joey ex- plained to me that it makes more sense for their growing family to live there, and work in the other locations from a distance. Joey sent out a report in May and expressed the changes they were facing due to Covid-19. The challenges have been members losing their jobs and the Treats have found ways to provide work. One member lost her job as a seamstress. Tammy helped her make and sell masks which has opened up more work than her previous job provided. The Treats have been feeding families and providing water for people of the village. From this physical gesture it has provided a Spiritual door by way of handing out Bibles, because people have had more time in their homes to read. This has led to more interest in Spiri- tual things and potential converts. Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to use the Treats during this challenging time. Since Covid was not a part of their plan for 2020, I am sure they are in need of additional funds for Bibles and to purchase the food they distribute among the three islands. Please pray for their vital work in the Kingdom in Guam, Palau, and Chuuk.
