  • Ask how many people are on Linkedin. How many use it daily? Weekly? Hardly at all? How many use it with ProVisors?
  • Just some rationale for the people who are still resisting
  • You can have a flexible, expandable online resume that’s changeable at any time.
  • You never have to make another cold call; you can warm up your prospecting by having a name to use. Source of free PR (see later slide)

  • Talk about how if someone wants to connect that you don’t know, email them back to see 1) what attracted them to your profile and why they want to meet you 2) if they will spend 5-10 minutes on the phone to “meet” and discuss how you can help one another. If they won’t reply by phone or email, they shouldn’t be a connection.
  • You can substitute your own page for mine here if you wish. Give a guided tour of the page to point out various ways to search.
  • Explain in more detail, give examples.
  • Give examples if you have any.
  • The more recommendations you have, the more credibility you have.
  • You may replace my page with your own. Give an example of a personal note: “It was great meeting you this morning at CC3. Let’s connect on Linkedin.”

Target <ul><li>Tip for maximizing a troika : </li></ul><ul><li>When setting up your troika, arrange to connect with your fellow troika members on Linkedin. </li></ul><ul><li>Ask permission to search their connections and invite them to search yours. </li></ul><ul><li>Come to the troika with a list of people you would like to be introduced to. </li></ul><ul><li>You know who you want to meet, but they may not realize they have connections who can help you. </li></ul>

Acknowledge <ul><li>A recommendation on Linkedin is like a testimonial in ProVisors. </li></ul><ul><li>Writing a recommendation for someone else </li></ul><ul><li>increases the chances they will write one for you. </li></ul><ul><li>• Your profile link appears in their profile. </li></ul><ul><li>You need at least 3 recommendations for your profile to be considered 100% complete. </li></ul>
