  4. 4. Hearing is a sense we need. <ul><li>We use our ears to hear. </li></ul><ul><li>We need to listen carefully. </li></ul><ul><li>What are your favorite sounds? </li></ul>
  5. 5. How many ears do you have? Close your eyes and what do you hear?
  6. 6. Smelling is an important sense. <ul><li>We use our nose to smell. </li></ul><ul><li>Some things smell good and some things smell bad. </li></ul><ul><li>What do you like to smell? </li></ul>
  7. 7. Is your nose important? Close your eyes and smell what is in the room .
  8. 8. Tasting is an important sense. <ul><li>We taste with our tongues. </li></ul><ul><li>Some things taste good and some things taste bad. </li></ul><ul><li>What do you like to taste? </li></ul>
  9. 9. Do all things taste the same? Do you like the taste of pickle juice of the taste of cupcakes?
  10. 10. One more sense is touching. <ul><li>We touch with our fingers. </li></ul><ul><li>Some things are soft and some things are rough. </li></ul><ul><li>We can feel with other parts of our body. </li></ul>
  11. 11. How many fingers do you have? Touch your cheeks. Are they soft?
  12. 12. Our senses are very important.They help keep us safe. Our senses help us learn about ourselves and the world.
