  2. 2. 10. A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words<br />Pictures related to various topics can be accessed in a matter of seconds. The images can be used by students or teachers in projects, lessons, or presentations. <br />The image below could be used in an Algebra unit over quadratic functions.<br />http://www.flickr.com/photos/emilyrides/3916051932 - Flickr is a website to search for images.<br />
  3. 3. 9. Virtual Help<br />When students need help outside of school, online tutorials and virtual lessons are ways students can stay on track.<br />http://mathforum.org/dr.math - A website providing math help and resources for teachers.<br />

Hot Off the Press<br />Keeping up with the latest news and changes in education are easier when you subscribe to listservs and newsletters.<br />http://www.smartbrief.com/subscribe/loadsignup.action - National Board Certified Teachers can subscribe to this newsletter and receive up-to-date information pertaining to National Board issues.<br />

  8. 8. 4. Where are We Going?<br />We can’t always load up the bus to take kids on fieldtrips. With technology today, we can take them on virtual field trips. Taking the trips help with answering, “When are we ever gonna use this?”<br />http://www.edustream.org – This website provides educational videos as well as professional development videos.<br />

  11. 11. 1. Communication<br />E-mail is an efficient mode of connecting with students, parents, or colleagues. Communication can occur 24/7. Free e-mail accounts are available from sites like Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. <br />https://www.teacherease.com – A web-based grading interface which has email and announcement features to communicate with parents and students.<br />
