  15. 15. Q Research proposal Goals 1. Identify the challenges taken on by artists who perform educational roles in hybrid contexts Art + education. 2. Identify strategies which cross artistic practices in residency which may be transferable to educational fields and actors. 3. Identify the experiences and tools provided within and outside the school/ university training for artists to consolidate the strategies through which approach educational roles. 5. Generate devices to communicate research from its format to reflect some of the findings facilitating communication in academic, artistic and educational contexts.
  16. 16. 0 Research proposal Method approach ABR: a kind of qualitative research that uses artistic orientation procedures (literary, visual and performative) to account for practices experiences in which both the subjects (researcher, reader, contributor) and the interpretations of their experiences reveal aspects that are not visible in other types of research (Eisner & Barone, 2006; Hernandez, 2008; McNiff, 2010). Maps: “Writers and artists have used the maps metaphorical powers to explore such terrain as the cartography of psychological space, the body, and memory” “Moving beyond the conventional use of maps as a means to mark geographic space and place mean that as an aesthetic device maps afford the opportunity for depictingmultisensory, lived experiences of space, time, and place in nonlinear ways”. (Powell, 2010).

  22. 22. Q Research proposal Anticipating Issues The translation of art experiences into descriptive language can present a number of challenges to the artbased researcher. (McNiff, 2010). Visual material still often seems to be explained and rationalized within the context of text (Hill, 2008). In other words, visual methods and data manifest as the written word in academia (Hill, 2008) rather than as stand-alone images. (Powell 2010)
  23. 23. 0 How much is too much involvement as researcher? (Hands on or step back? ) 0 Uncertainty (Engagement/ format/ communication) 9 References about similar projects (Plc) 0 Transferability issues/ Research responsabilities
