Nancy's celebration of life

Published on

My niece, Nancy Campbell, succumbed to cancer in 2008. I prepared a PowerPoint presentation to celebrate her life of faithfulness, but didn’t publish it using Facebook in a timely manner. I am really slow in responding to Facebook; therefore, I asked all those who have interest in Nancy’s lifetime of faithfulness to please forgive me for putting this PowerPoint online so late.

Nancy and I frequently talked, and I was reluctant to accept her condition as critical when she called me with the news about her cancer. I prayed with her and ended the conversation with strong faith that she would survive that insidious disease. When I received the phone call about her untimely demised, I was truly surprised. We don’t know what God has in store for us. His plans are not necessarily our plans. On April 30, 2008, Nancy went to rest in Jesus; nevertheless, we have that wonderful assurance of 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Please look at this presentation knowing that we will see our faithful Nancy again.
