  3. 3. NOKIA <ul><li>Nokia is a multinational communication corporation with its headquarter in Keilaniemi, Espoo, a city near to Finland. </li></ul>
  4. 4. NOKIA <ul><li>It is the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones with over 132,000 employees in 120 countries, sales in more than 150 countries. </li></ul><ul><li>It has a global annual revenue of over €42 billion with profit of €2 billion according to the report of 2010. </li></ul>
  5. 5. NOKIA <ul><li>It provides lot of web based services like application, games maps, music, messaging and media via its OVI platform. </li></ul><ul><li>Nokia Siemens and Symbian are its subsidiaries that produces application and network related equipments to Nokia. </li></ul>

People always communicate and share their views, feelings, ideas,etc. more than any other thing and this has been more easier due to these sites. </li></ul><ul><li>The main theme of the Nokia being “Connecting people” always gives priority to effective communication. </li></ul>

Challenges <ul><li>From the five organizational advantages, it can get affected by the competitive advantage because companies like Google, Apple, Samsung, HTC are very strong competitors and it is not an easy task to develop something that is far beyond in technology when compared to these companies. </li></ul>
  17. 17. Future prospect <ul><li>Looking at the popularity, it is for sure that the social networking applications will be much more powerful and advanced in the coming future. Applications like facebook, twitter will be much more powerful, advanced and much more user friendly with lot of features and services. Today it is possible to chat and comment in site but may be in the future it will be available to make face time call through facebook or do audio and video conferencing. </li></ul>
  18. 18. Conclusion <ul><li>Social networking sites are the most used application or sites in today's world for information interchange either personal or public. It has great importance not only to the user but to the Nokia as well. According to its popularity, it seems to be developing even more in future with more advanced features and services. </li></ul>
  19. 19. <ul><li>Introduction </li></ul><ul><li>Mobile banking is a way for the user’s to perform banking actions on his or her cell phone or other mobile device. It is a quite popular method of banking that fits in well with a busy lifestyle. </li></ul>
  20. 20. <ul><li>The earliest mobile banking services were started by European banks in 1999 to their customer. It was offered by SMS by smart phones with WAP(Wireless application protocol) support enabling the use of the mobile web in 1999. </li></ul>
  21. 21. <ul><li>Mobile banking is used in many parts of the world with little or no infrastructure, in big cities where people are always busy in their social or professional life it saves their time. Especially remote and rural areas most of these places, banks can only be found in big cities, and customers have to travel hundreds of miles to the nearest bank. </li></ul>
  22. 22. <ul><li>This technology has increased the sales ratio of the Nokia , after implementing this technology Nokia has became top competitor among other companies such as i phone , blackberry , Samsung etc. </li></ul>

The benefits of this convenience are undeniable, but there are a number of disadvantages that mobile banking users should be aware of such as: </li></ul>

Many people have fallen for this trick and had money stolen through this scam. </li></ul><ul><li>Compatibility : Mobile banking is not available on every device. Some banks do not provide mobile banking at all. Others require you to use a custom mobile banking application only available on the most popular smart phones. </li></ul><ul><li>Cost: The cost of mobile banking might not appear significant if you already have a compatible device, but you still need to pay data and text messaging fees. Some financial institutions charge an extra fee for mobile banking service, and you may need to pay a fee for software.   26. 26. <ul><li>Nokia has taken fascinating steps in recent days to enable more financial services aimed at the poor and unbanked…someday. </li></ul><ul><li>Nokia has just announced it plans to launch a mobile financial service next year, to be called Nokia Money . It target consumers in emerging markets with a phone but no bank account. Nokia Money will be based on the Obopay platform. </li></ul><ul><li>In April, Nokia announced it completed trials of its  Life Tools  service. It’s icon-based, which Nokia says helps reduce language and literacy barriers. Its services are geared to farmers (customizable commodity prices, weather, seed and fertilizer availability) and students (English lessons, exam prep). (CGAP,2009) </li></ul>

Nokia has also got this feature and succussed to develop good product with this feature , using and seeking of this kind of feature Nokia is always in top rank among its competitors. </li></ul><ul><li>personally i would like to say this kind of features are only available on smart phones or costly phones if these features can add on simple phone it will be more better to all kind of users and for organisations as well. </li></ul>
