  2. 2. Health and Fitness <ul><li>If you are not fit and healthy you will get a lot of problems later in life. </li></ul><ul><li>To be healthy you need to eat the right amount of food from each food group. </li></ul><ul><li>To be fit you need to exercise at least 60 minutes a day. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Exercise <ul><li>It is essential for your body to have at least 60 minutes of exercise a day but exercising too much can be bad because you can get pains. </li></ul><ul><li>Exercising is needed because sitting down makes your muscles stiff. </li></ul><ul><li>Four things needed whilst exercising is strength, stamina, suppleness and of course water. </li></ul><ul><li>Best ways to exercise are swimming, skipping and football. </li></ul>

Calories <ul><li>Your body needs calories but not too many. </li></ul><ul><li>A bit of calories are good and stored as energy. </li></ul><ul><li>A lot of calories are bad and stored as fat. </li></ul><ul><li>Genes are what make us who we are whether extra calories are stored as fat or energy. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Health <ul><li>Your body needs 2 fruit and 5 vegetables a day. </li></ul><ul><li>Your body also needs a bit of food from each group to be healthy. </li></ul>

Helps body grow healthy. </li></ul><ul><li>Protein. Repairs body tissue. </li></ul><ul><li>Fibre. Keeps digestive system healthy and functioning properly. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Water <ul><li>At least 75% of your body is filled with water. </li></ul><ul><li>Water keeps you hydrated. </li></ul><ul><li>You need at least 6 glasses of water a day. </li></ul>

Obesity <ul><li>Obesity is when a person has extra body fat. </li></ul><ul><li>Obesity is caused by eating too many calories and not exercising. </li></ul><ul><li>Anyone can become obese even kids. </li></ul><ul><li>Generally kids that are obese will become obese when they are older. </li></ul><ul><li>Kids are affected because when they see famous skinny models they start to hate themselves. </li></ul>
  9. 9. What’s been done? <ul><li>There are programs and television shows that help us to be fit and healthy. </li></ul><ul><li>You can read books for tips. </li></ul><ul><li>Healthy cooking classes. </li></ul><ul><li>You can also visit nutritionists for help. </li></ul>
  10. 10. What can we do to help? <ul><li>Stop calling people names because that will make them depressed which makes them eat more food. </li></ul>

Heart Disease <ul><li>People get heaps of tests to find out if they’re diagnosed. </li></ul><ul><li>People get it from being obese/overweight, not exercising or eating right. </li></ul><ul><li>The symptoms are high blood pressure, hardening of heart, chest pains, heart attacks or strokes. </li></ul><ul><li>Heaps of people die from heart disease. </li></ul>

Obstructive Sleep Apnea <ul><li>It effects males more than woman. </li></ul><ul><li>It is caused by obesity or weight gain. </li></ul><ul><li>It damages your brain, heart, kidney and other vital organs. </li></ul><ul><li>The symptoms are snoring, sleepiness, choking, morning headaches, poor memory, depression, behavioural disorders, restless sleep, breathlessness and heart burns. </li></ul>
