BoxWorks 2013 Highlights
BoxWorks is two days of conversation focused on what’s possible and
what’s next in technology, business, society and Box itself.
Introducing Box Notes
Notes is a new tool that allows users to easily create documents, take
notes and share ideas in real-time – all within Box. Sign up for the
beta and be one of the first to try it out, or check out Box Notes in action.
New Admin Tools for Policies and Automation
We announced two new features in the Box admin console, content
policies and automation, powered by a robust rules engine technology.
The new Policies tab lets you customize security policies and alerts around
uploads, downloads and sharing for powerful insight on actions happening
throughout the company. The Automation tab provides configurable
content process automation tools for managing how data and content
moves throughout an organization.
These features will be available in beta soon to Enterprise customers, so
let me know if you'd like to be added to the program!
All New Preview Experience is Coming
Later this year we'll be rolling out our all new, streamlined preview
experience for all Box users. Check out the blog post for a sneak peek at
what's to come.
Metadata for Files in Box
We also announced we're adding metadata to bring additional context to
your files stored on Box. From appending accident details like photos and
locations for insurance claims to adding patient information on medical
records, you'll be able to store, access, view and edit details that
aren't constrained by standard file system parameters. Stay tuned for more
details on how to join the beta in the coming quarters.
All New Box for Mobile
With our latest Box for Android releases, we've been adding exciting new
features and UI enhancements. And during the keynote, we shared a
sneak peek of our completely redesigned iOS app. Stay tuned for more
information on that later this year!
